Fiji Island Mermaid Press: Vulcan juggling lava
http://fimpress.blogspot.com/2012/05/my-6-year-old-daughter-rachel-created.html
Wednesday, May 02, 2012. My 6 year old daughter Rachel created this animation of her character Vulcan the volcano, juggling his piece of lava. That is one happy volcano and a great little piece of animation. Way to go Rachel. Love, Uncle Jeff, Aunt Sherry and cousins Mike and Madeline. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Brooklyn days: How to Stretch a Canvas
http://brooklyndays.blogspot.com/2006/01/how-to-stretch-canvas.html
An artist wanders around Brooklyn. Wednesday, January 18, 2006. How to Stretch a Canvas. This post shouldn't be necessary. Two things, however, prompted me to write it: 1) the time I was carrying a 4'x5' piece into a BWAC exhibition, and another 'artist' said, 'did you stretch that yourself? Well, duh. I don't know why I should be so shocked by this, but folks, this is basic. To build her own stretcher bars on the roof. Sorry to get testy so early in the day. Here we go. I finally gave up building my own...

Fiji Island Mermaid Press: Work in Progress - a linocut for "Our Rarer Monsters"
http://fimpress.blogspot.com/2012/04/work-in-progress-linocut-for-our-rarer.html
Monday, April 30, 2012. Work in Progress - a linocut for "Our Rarer Monsters". I'm currently working on the seventh linocut of a series of eight that will be published in a book of poetry by Noel Sloboda later this year. The book will be "Our Rarer Monsters", and I've been posting the linocuts and some various related images over on flickr. Here's the first little doodle, drawn on the manuscript while reading the poems and thinking about the kinds of images I wanted to make:. Fiji Island Mermaid Press.
