Wednesday, February 20, 2013. Today was awesome. Fantastic. Wonderful. Perfectly delightful. Why, you ask? Because we had a "home day". For the last 6 months we have been doing extra stuff. Sunday, October 20, 2013. Mondays are our non-Opening days. Singing at a local nursing home and often having a family or two over afterwards take up the day. Monday, September 17, 2012. Debunking common myths #1: I just don't have the patience. I think homeschooling is a nice idea, but I just don't have the patience.". I hear this All. The.Time. My response is always, "Welcome to the club! I think if they sincerely asked that question- most people don't- and they decided to homeschool- and not everyone would- they'd soon see that homeschooling isn't about patience. It is certainly something that everybody learns, but it's not usually a make-or-break deal.

I was in quite a mood a couple weeks ago in the meat department. Sometimes I see strange cuts of meat and I get too excited. Next thing I know, I am putting away turkey legs and oxtails! This one was nice and simple, and I already had most of the ingredients! It turned out very tender and delicious, so it is very worth it!
