It seems it should be something to be expected if we are following Christ ( John 15:18-25. But here in this place, whether in the city, the suburbs, or the country, do we really ever suffer persecution? Unfortunately the added stress of my husband’s job also brought illness. He lost an amazing amount of weight and was obviously having digestive distress. More delays as he is ultimately diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and strives to get his health back under control. It was a very emotional time for all of us....

Our Life's A Trip. For the last five years my family as traveled to Gretna, Nebraska to visit Vala’s Pumpkin Patch. As soon as the Iowa State Fair comes to a close the kids are asking when we get to head out to the “Halloween Place”. Vala’s is priceless, although it’s literal price is $12.95 per person (as of 2010).
