In the late 90’s early 2000’s and being self-employed Steve like many in the same situation saw private pensions perform poorly and some company pension schemes collapse, and was investigating alternative methods of long term investment. He analysed wine, modern art, classical art, other collectables, gold, oil (kicking himself now), diamond mines, and even shares in wind turbines (glad he bought shares in this area).
