A blog documenting our journey from one place in life to another. Tuesday, March 27, 2012. I tried my best to pay attention to the time on the clock during this whole event but needless to say they've slipped from my mind. He weighed 8 pounds even and was 19 3/4 inches long. This was the most precious moment of my life. I still can't believe that he is here. As much as we prepared to him, it's just hard to believe. My labor was absolutely textbook for a first time mom. Long latent labor included....All t...

To My Children: November 2011
http://psalm139v19.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Tuesday, November 8, 2011. Life gets so busy, and I get so wrapped up in my sweet daughter that I just put blogging off. Family comes first! We have had some fun things happen in my absence. Our apartment was 'remodeled' by OC and they added a second bedroom! Adley turned one (and of course we threw a party that was wonderful, because almost all of our friends and family joined us). Tops out at abou...

From the Beginning: What's the Deal?
http://ourstoryckt.blogspot.com/2013/08/what-deal.html
A blog documenting our journey from one place in life to another. Wednesday, August 14, 2013. Recently, I had to ask myself why I couldn't keep up with this blog anymore. Am I really that busy? Answer: Probably. Between a husband, baby, grad classes, and keeping house extra time comes sparingly. Do I have nothing to post about? Answer: Far from the truth. Our family life is full of blog worthy stuff. So what's the deal here? I leave you with this monster cutie enjoying his first strawberry slush.

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Friday, September 9, 2011. Because Cloth is Cute. Okay, okay, I know I said I would post a blog about how to clean cloth diapers (and I will, soon) but. I got to thinking about all the sweet pregnant mama's who are on the line about cloth diapers and really just need to be swayed by the cuteness of them all. Owlsthey are adorable, it's true. Here. Is the website for this cutie pie. And for my wool c...

To My Children: Here is My Advice
http://psalm139v19.blogspot.com/2013/06/here-is-my-advice.html
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Sunday, June 16, 2013. Here is My Advice. There is something mysterious, unexplainable that happens when you give birth to a baby. You have no knowledge about babies, how to raise them, how to best care for them (no matter how much you read 'What to Expect When You Are Expecting') and yet, you have been given the job, by God. Here is my advice. He uses things like. The doctor's office,. Some days, h...

To My Children: In my Father's arms
http://psalm139v19.blogspot.com/2013/06/in-my-father-arms.html
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Saturday, June 1, 2013. In my Fathers arms. You've been earthside almost three years now and your sweet heart in our home has been such a blessing. You have taught me so much about my faith in God. When you got up this morning you told me that you felt safe from the storm when daddy was holding you in his arms, just like God holds us in His arms. Your precious sweet child faith gets me, every time.

To My Children: Adley's Song
http://psalm139v19.blogspot.com/2013/10/adley-song.html
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Monday, October 28, 2013. Hey sweet girl,. Bedtime for young children is steeped with much tradition that varies from home to home. I'm not sure how we started this tradition, but I'm glad we did. Usually you hear the phrase, 'just one more story'. Our focus is a little different. Before you were born I sang a song to you. Since you were a tiny baby we've sung this song to you almost every night.

To My Children: June 2014
http://psalm139v19.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Friday, June 6, 2014. I know I have friends eagerly awaiting miss Mikelle's birth story, but there is another story I need to tell first. Part One: The Valley. After over an hour of talking me down he knew I wasn’t planning anything great. He said we had a problem and that we needed to fix it. I’m not sure how we got to this point but I remember telling him I needed help and felt...Only By His Grace.
