Frosty Flakes BOM | The Quilting Pirate
https://thequiltingpirate.wordpress.com/2010/08/04/frosty-flakes-bom
Another day ripping out stitches and repairing the seams or in other words, just trying to quilt new sails. August 4, 2010. Anyone interested in playing along? I’m been in a mind set that BOM’s are the way to go lately for me because I don’t have a lot of “me” sewing time and the time I seem to find is limited enough to work on one block, so looking at some other BOM’s to pick up and this new free one just came up and it have hexagons in it! Posted in Block of Months. Laquo; Randomness. . . You are comme...

Forgetmenot's Corner: April 2007
http://forgetmenot-quilting.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 30. Today I shall be mostly. I tidied my desk. This is a. And now I have a corner to sew in! Well quite a lot of space actually! And the sun shines in from mid afternoon onwards. More recently I made a start on a new log cabin. Brown and cream is cosy, and not too adventurous, and some of these prints remind me a lot of the dresses I wore to church as a child. Anyone fancy a quick look round my garden? One of the last narcissi, in a shady spot. It wouldn't be spring without drumstick primul...

Updates on life, sewing, family. Tuesday, September 14. Isn't September just the best time of year? It's cool in the morning (at 5:30 am, when my body INSISTS on waking), and then it morphs into a crisp afternoon - perfect for walking the boys along the river. This is the same niece that wants to sew - she's clearly a crafty girl! S has a conference in Calgary next week, so Friday we head east. I hope to take lots of photos, and visit many quilt stores along the way. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Goat - A ...

Updates on life, sewing, family. Thursday, August 9. If I could lift 5000 lbs. I would be in the Olympics. Or be my husband. We had a whack of trees taken down earlier this year, and their carcasses have been reclining in the yard. Yesterday, S loaded them in the trailer and hauled them over to a 'guy' who will mill them for us, so we have siding for the (offending) pump house. When it's fit and ready to be sided, of course. And finally, one of our favourite driftwood gathering beaches. Tuesday, August 7.

Updates on life, sewing, family. Tuesday, June 8. Today I am trying to visualize myself with no hair. Two weeks exactly after chemo my hair is starting to shed. Just a few to start, but it's getting more today. Even the wind is taking it away. What's the big deal with hair anyhow - we start off bald, and many women have less and less hair as they age. I just did it early and hopefully temporarily. I've called the hairdresser, so it's my decision when I lose it all, not the drugs calling the shots. I live...

Gypsy Quilter Designs: Christmas Quilt Show
http://gypsyquilterdesigns.blogspot.com/2010/11/christmas-quilt-show.html
Tuesday, November 16, 2010. This sawtooth (made in 2003) is my Christmas submission for the quilt show going on over at Sew Cal Gal. Say that 3 times fast! I've yet to hang up my fall quilt display and am considering jumping right into Christmas instead. For the first time in 25 years, all of my xmas decorations are in one place. Also this year will be the first time I'll be able to have my own live tree. I'm going to buy a plantable one and enjoy seeing it grow. Until then, keep stitchin' . . . Its grea...

Gypsy Quilter Designs: Some string and a clothesline
http://gypsyquilterdesigns.blogspot.com/2008/08/some-string-and-clothesline.html
Wednesday, August 13, 2008. Some string and a clothesline. That's all it took to create the following. Susan and Diane finished up their string tops and donated extra red and blue fabric besides. Even though I'm not Bill Coleman, I think this makes a lovely patriotic image. See what a small group of volunteers can do with a bit of string. Great job ladies! I love the look of them all together! And for such a great cause! August 13, 2008 at 2:04 PM. August 13, 2008 at 6:21 PM. Lynne in Hawaii said. Wonder...
