Dedicated to the illumination of reality. Saturday, December 1, 2007. Glancing at Societal Decay. I do not often leave my abode less it be to complete some task or affair. In fact, I disdain driving through the streets of Kuwait or even when I was living in Atlanta through its streets during the two popular nights of the days at the end of the week, that being Friday and Saturday in the US or Thursday and Friday in Kuwait. As I drove further along to my destination I came up a clouded scene of smoke and ...

Expositions of Arabia: The First Lady of the US, Laura Bush, Visits Kuwait
http://fulbrighter-in-kuwait.blogspot.com/2007/10/first-lady-of-us-laura-bush-visits.html
Dedicated to the illumination of reality. Saturday, October 27, 2007. The First Lady of the US, Laura Bush, Visits Kuwait. I then returned home by 5:30 pm about 3 hours later from when I left. Unfortunately I had to skip the Arabic lesson I intended to have that evening. Was it worth the 3 hours to go see the First Lady and hear her speak for only 15 minutes? Pretty cool Nabil. The fact that you watched that National Geographic episode was pretty lucky! It enhanced the story well :) Hope all is well!

Dedicated to the illumination of reality. Saturday, October 20, 2007. A Visit to Faylaka Island and a Chat with Kuwaiti Soldiers. The Canadian couple were staying at a hotel on the island in the style of an Arabic home with a courtyard for 3 nights during their Eid holiday. They were joined by another car of their friends who were also teachers in the same school as them. But I was going just for a day visit to have a look around. The journey to Faylaka lasted about an hour and a half. Peace Corps member...

Exubérante Flauto: Some political snark of my own...
http://exuberantflute86.blogspot.com/2012/11/some-political-snark-of-my-own.html
Have dreams. Will travel. Sunday, November 04, 2012. Some political snark of my own. As I weigh my student loan debt in one hand, and measure the potential success of my future with the other, I am of the opinion that a candidate's stance on being "pro-life" or "pro-choice" is NOT the only issue that is important to me in this election. I do wish my past self had a better grasp of what college would cost. But I also remember that the difference between attending a private college and a state school w...
