Fat Cat Crafts: Scrapbooking/Card Making Projects!
http://phatcatcrafts.blogspot.com/p/scrapbooking-projects.html
Believe in yourself, create your passions, inspire one another. Find Me on Etsy! I absolutely adore paper crafts. I've gotten lazy about making my own cards but I have started "accessorizing" pre-made cards. Check out this project at:. Http:/ phatcatcrafts.blogspot.com/2011/10/viola-embellished-pre-made-cards.html. I'm also a diehard scrapbooker. My supplies have been collecting dust as of late but don't give up on me! Believe in yourself, create your passions, inspire one another. Find Me on Etsy! Friday, January 9, 2015. Excelling on Etsy- Improving Tags. I've found a potentially great site for advice on "tagging" in Etsy. I can't find an image large enough to pin the page. So! Here's the link, lol :). Tools for Etsy: http:/ tools4etsy.com/. Fat Cat Crafts: December 2012
http://phatcatcrafts.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Believe in yourself, create your passions, inspire one another. Find Me on Etsy! Sunday, December 16, 2012. Shut the Front Door Sunday! Trying out a Pinterest Idea. I confess, I love Pinterest.I think I spend more time searching for craft ideas on it than I do Google (poor, lonely Google). So many "pins" of ideas that I would have never thought of .like how to make a meal out of a crescent roll or two. So, what fillings would you use in your crescent roll up? Links to this post. Here We Go Loopty Lou.
Fat Cat Crafts: Cross Stitching/Sewing Projects!
http://phatcatcrafts.blogspot.com/p/cross-stitchingsewing-projects.html
Believe in yourself, create your passions, inspire one another. Find Me on Etsy! One of my first crafty endeavors was cross stitching. I've given almost everything that I've made away but have a few pieces left that are done or in the process of being completed. I tried alternating between crossstitching and knitting but knitting has completely taken over! I think one day I'll get back to it. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Believe in yourself, create your passions, inspire one another. Find Me on Etsy! The Adventures of Phat Cat and the Princess! I have two furry felines that keep me laughing and on my toes. I refer to them as "Phat Cat and the Princess", hence the term "Fat Cat Crafts" which inspired by my phat black boy cat. As you can see, they are especially "helpful" with my crafting. Even though sometimes they drive me crazy, I can't imagine life without them! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Passionate for the Cure!

hidden in the hem: Something new
http://hiddeninthehem.blogspot.com/2012/05/something-new.html
Thursday, May 31, 2012. So, I decided it would be fun to make a dress for the baby girl for my friend’s upcoming wedding. I figured if it didn’t work out, I still had a couple of nice dresses that would serve as back up. Originally, I wanted to make the oliver s bubble dress. The same dress I made for the baby girl’s first birthday. I imagined it would be lovely in silk. I made the little guy a matching tie from the Lil Boo Blue pattern. They are such hams:. The dress pattern itself was great! Sewing In ...

Monday, April 30, 2012. We didn’t have a party for her birthday, but since I made her a dress last year. I thought it’d be fun to make one for her second birthday. She wore it for all of 30 minutes, but it was cute while she was wearing it. Sunday, April 15, 2012. Thursday, April 5, 2012. As in hopeful that the weather will get warmer soon. If you sew it, summer will come, right? I wanted to try the bucket hat pattern from the Little Things to Sew. This is the two sides of the boy hat. I did ...Follow...
hidden in the hem: A wee dress
http://hiddeninthehem.blogspot.com/2011/04/wee-dress.html
Friday, April 29, 2011. For a wee girl who’s turning 1! I know the lighting in this picture is horrible. But it just epitomizes the experience of sewing late into the night, the excitement of seeing the little dress you’re making take shape, having no one to share it with, so you snap this picture in the dark. I was almost up late enough to catch the royal wedding. I still need to sew on the buttons, make the buttonholes and decide if I want to attach the lining of the bodice by hand or by machine. There...
hidden in the hem: Ruffles, ruffles, ruffles!
http://hiddeninthehem.blogspot.com/2012/05/ruffles-ruffles-ruffles.html
Monday, May 7, 2012. Ruffles, ruffles, ruffles! This is a project I worked on in February and March, but I couldn’t blog about it until now. A friend of mine is getting married, and her bridal shower theme was 50s housewife. When her sister, who was planning the shower, told me the theme, I immediately thought: aprons! And I immediately thought of this Amy Butler fabric line called “Love” (how appropriate, no? Because it had a lot of rose prints (she loves roses). To complete the kitchen set, I also made...
hidden in the hem: October and November 2012 Sewing
http://hiddeninthehem.blogspot.com/2013/01/october-and-november-2012-sewing.html
Sunday, January 13, 2013. October and November 2012 Sewing. I’m posting a couple of posts to catch up on the sewing I did in the last few months of 2012. So, I got the fabric and went to work. It had everything : wings, spi ky spine, big tail, big ears. This was probably the most labor intensive thing I’ve sewn. I kid you not, just tracing the pattern pieces took me days. DAYS! At least it got worn mor e than. 2) Halloween skirt and leggings. I made the skirt from this fluffly chiffon skirt tutorial.
hidden in the hem: Out with the old, in with the new
http://hiddeninthehem.blogspot.com/2013/01/out-with-old-in-with-new.html
Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Out with the old, in with the new. Putting away outgrown clothes is bittersweet. I feel conflicted about them growing up. I really miss that baby stage, because it was so brief. What’s sweeter than that teeny tiny creature passed out on your chest? But I also love seeing them grow into these precocious little beings who direct me to, “Take my picture, Mommy.” And how could I not? It’s not quite her birthday yet, but she’s taken with this shirt. :). January 8, 2013 at 9:37 AM.

hidden in the hem: More hopeful sewing..
http://hiddeninthehem.blogspot.com/2012/04/more-hopeful-sewing.html
Sunday, April 15, 2012. We’ve had rain and stormy weather here lately, so I’m continuing my hopeful sewing series by sharing this little butterfly dress. I made it a couple of weeks ago, so the baby girl could wear it to the butterfly exhibit. (I actually got this butterfly fabric last year in hopes of making a dress for last year’s butterfly exhibit. Hey, I’m only a year behind! This was a fast project. I used the Tatum. I thought it would make a cute Easter dress, so she wore it for an Easter party at ...
hidden in the hem: Big kid backpack
http://hiddeninthehem.blogspot.com/2013/02/big-kid-backpack.html
Friday, February 8, 2013. Back in August, I made the little guy a toddler backpack for kindergarten. It wasn’t until after I made it that I realized it was too small for him. In kindergarten, they need a backpack big enough to hold an 8.5x11 notebook and folder. My little guy isn’t toddler-sized anymore. *sniff*. I love this radios fabric, and thankfully, there was enough left over even after I had made the first backpack to make a second one. Rae's toddler backpack pattern. Thank you for stopping by!

Phat Cat
Saturday, September 24, 2016. Homeward Bound - Sept 16, 2016 - Sept 24, 2016. The east wind from tropical depression Julia pushed water into the harbor and on high tide the town dock was below water. The dock is fixed and we were tied to the dock pylons, which were high enough to keep our lines secure even when PhatCat rose about the level of the dock. Saturday, Sept 17 we headed south down the Dismal Swamp and entered North Carolina from Virgina. Canal Road in the Dismal Swamp, on route to the still.
