The San Pablo Bay National Wildlife Refuge headquarters has moved to a new site. At this new location we do not have habitat accessable to students for field trips to the Refuge. We will only be offering special activity days. Vehicle access to the Refuge is limited to several informal and limited size parking lots along State Route 37 (SR 37), that cuts through the southern boundary of the site along the San Francisco Bay. The refuge headquarters is located in the City of Petaluma, California, off Hwy 37 between Lakeville Hwy and hwy 121. Figure 2 shows the location of the Refuge. San Pablo Bay and Marin Islands National Wildlife Refuges, located approximately 45 miles northeast of San Francisco, are tucked away in the northern reaches of the San Francisco Bay estuary and span the counties of Marin, Sonoma, Napa and Solano.
