Photo by Peggy Goetz. Yes the sun has dipped below the mountain ripples. Finally half-dark that passes for night. Here in the endless white of the icy south. I can close my eyes and rest my dragging limbs. To walk again tomorrow. Where darkness will disappear. I will. Then, until darkness comes to stay. I do t...

Free Thought – Soul Speak

https://daydreamertoo.com/2012/12/23/8991

Welcome to my Truth…. I hurl new fresh bursts of thought. It seemed a good idea to let it go. It’s rare they return so insistent. Upon remaining through that sweet release. But, the mind is such an enigma. Sometimes full of rapid-fire sparks. Which clench, spasm but then sorted. And sifted free the burdens we carry. For it to become spacious once more. A Good Day – Soul Speak

https://daydreamertoo.com/2012/12/19/8974

Welcome to my Truth…. A whistling wind whips up everything. Including one of my garbage bins. I hear the clunk, bang, slam. Echo through the walls as it crashes. To the frozen ground. The dog still wants his walk. Camouflage jacket in place. The wind’s outrage is no hardship. To him as off he goes. I hold his retractable leash. And follow, treading softly, slowly. Left overs from snow the other day). Aware there is more due to arrive. My teen walks with us to the end. A quick kiss to the cheek and off.

The Gathering of Stones: Tweet-tweet

http://thegatheringofstones.blogspot.com/2011/07/tweet-tweet.html

The Gathering of Stones. Wednesday, July 27, 2011. The four baby birds I'd been observing up high in the bush in our garden have grown and flown away. They've probably got their own little high-rise nests someone near by. In the meantime, I discovered that a smaller bird with a lower nest now has little ones to take care of. Three tiny ones are just now starting to get their feathers and look adorable. Here are two of them:. July 28, 2011. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

The Gathering of Stones: January 2012

http://thegatheringofstones.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

The Gathering of Stones. Tuesday, January 31, 2012. I am really good at seeing "stones". During the past year, I have learned to observe and appreciate the little things. What I am not good at is recording them anywhere other than in my wee widdly head, especially on this blog. Today is the last day of the January challenge and I have managed to do how many posts? What's that you say.only one? Delicate lacy bonnets hoar frost on the rosehips. Morning surprise a white heart center in the kiwi halves.

The Gathering of Stones. Friday, June 29, 2012. Man in a Tree. While my family was walking in the woods, we came upon this wonderful carving. I don't know how long it has been there or who did it, but I was glad I had my camera along. Old man in a tree. His wooden stare follows me. As I pass him by. Some people never really leave us. The Gathering of Stones: March 2011

http://thegatheringofstones.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

The Gathering of Stones. Friday, March 25, 2011. Days are growing longer. Birds rejoice with song. Lined up in rows,. Hundreds of golden Forsythia stars. Signal the coming of Spring. Monday, March 7, 2011. The waxing crescent moon sits in the star-filled sky; a beautiful sliver of evening wonder. Saturday, March 5, 2011. Pale toast and boiled water with coffee grounds floating in it. I subdue my laugh, because it really is the thought that counts. And she included my favorite jam. How sweet.

The Gathering of Stones: Animals, animals, animals. (18-22)

http://thegatheringofstones.blogspot.com/2011/07/animals-animals-animals-18-22.html

The Gathering of Stones. Sunday, July 24, 2011. Animals, animals, animals. (18-22). This photo by Katarina Hofke. As the cat relaxes on the sun-warmed macadam, slivers of shadows from the wrought iron gate paint new stripes across her fur. With the blue lighting, the bat's wings look thin and crumpled like pieces of burnt paper. As all the horses continue to graze, the curious foal trots over to greet me, and I become the "stone". Sometimes life is a rocky road, whether you are man, mouse or beetle.

The Gathering of Stones. Monday, January 31, 2011. River of Stones - Day 31. January comes to a close with frost-covered fields and gardens. Bleached skies and clouded breath suggest winter is here to stay,. But growing on a bush like a faint whisper of hope. The woolly pussy willows tell me spring is on the way. Sunday, January 30, 2011. River of Stones - Day 30. High tension lines look like strings holding up the tower. As if an electrified marionette for a giant or for the gods,. Note: medicated bath ...

Ponderings on Games | Casting words into darkness

Casting words into darkness. An introduction, of sorts. The Magic of Cardboard. April 6, 2018. Any surprises a board game may hold have to be not just prepared before hand, but concealed within its structure. This sense of discovery, of “I didn’t know you could do that”, is one of the main draws of Legacy games. Putting stickers on your cards, drawing on the game board? That’s mindblowing. Changing the map or improving abilities in a video game? These resources are drawn on them. And a last example, One ...
