Spruce Gin Old Fashioned. October 30, 2015. In a mixing tin, stir together. 2 oz 50 Fathoms Gin. Oz spruce tip-infused simple syrup. Stir and strain over ice-filled rocks glass. Garnish with a spruce tip. May 3, 2015. 2 oz Icy Strait Vodka. 1 oz ginger beer or ginger ale. Splash of soda water. Stir ingredients together and strain in to a tin camping mug filled with crushed ice. Garnish with lime wheel and sprig of mint. What's better than a Gold Medal? A Double Gold Medal! April 3, 2015. I realize what gin is supposed to taste like now. Some say Alaska’s too big to bottle. But we’ve pulled it off, with small-batch, artisanal spirits that capture the flavor and feel of the Last Frontier. We start with pure water from a nearby lake. Add organic grains we mill ourselves, along with local herbs. Then finish with a big infusion of Alaskan integrity and DIY attitude, straight from the port town of Haines. The result?
