THE BUS: Clouds
http://thebusbossthebus.blogspot.com/2004/09/clouds.html
Sunday, September 19, 2004. She is standing, all nine years old of her in her pale blue dress, the one with flowers, the one she adores. It hangs past her knees and it has a cover for her shoulders and arms if she becomes cool. A thin piece of white cotton, really nothing more. With her hair up in barrettes, she still looks four years old. This is all that matters. They clutch their white plastic bags of candy fizzes tight in their hands. Hands so different from each other. And my daughter feels safe.

THE BUS: October 2004
http://thebusbossthebus.blogspot.com/2004_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 20, 2004. Everyone is tired on my bus. Most passengers flash their red passes towards the driver's face without seeing him. I am lucky to be on the bus early on the route. It fills with standing passengers so fast. Tired, standing passengers. It is a heavy silence. A strong, thinking silence. We all remember life and come alive. But not too much. Most of us get off on the same stop. Almost all of us head to Tim Hortons. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.
