Too Much Love - A Nathanael and Kyle Blog. Two Men. One Mission: Serve Jesus better, together. And then blog about it. Monday, 24 June 2013. Marriage and Kids: A Modern Evangelical 'Sex Cult'? One of my favorite bloggers, Rachel Held Evans, recently wrote a fantastic piece titled 'Sex and the Path of Holiness. She critiques here the false choice our rhetoric places between purity and virginity vs. a notion of the unchaste (woman, particularly) as 'damaged goods.' She is not advocating a loosening...Perha...

I saw Noah last night. I along with about 40 other seminary students were just about the only people there. Here are some theological, cultural, Biblical reflections of a seminary student; conveniently divided by headers representing themes in my musings, and addressing different FAQs. How does it relate to the Bible? 2 This i...

Too Much Love - A Nathanael & Kyle Blog: Lust and Alms

Too Much Love - A Nathanael and Kyle Blog. Two Men. One Mission: Serve Jesus better, together. And then blog about it. Friday, 12 April 2013. I read in a book today that the crucifixion serves as a beautiful contrast to sexual exploitation. We follow a Christ who gave away His body for others. But we live in a culture that, on the contrary, operates by demanding. From others - most clearly seen in our rampant sexual exploitation. Christ gives His body - the opposite of taking and exploiting. Sexual explo...

One evening, I was writing a list of things that I was thankful for and I didn't get very far:. 1-God made the universe. Our belief, founded on scripture, replies back, "No One made God.". Aratus, greek intellectuals, in Acts 17:28 where he says ". Let's pause. This is not pantheism. God is not in the tre...Which...

Forgiveness Made a Way: Celebrating TWO Years!
http://forgivenessmadeaway.blogspot.com/2011/07/celebrating-two-years.html
Sunday, July 24, 2011. Well, today marks TWO YEARS. The Lord used the five months I spent at Mercy to fill me with Truth, put to death so many lies, challenge my thought patterns, immerse me in God's Word, and most of all it was during these five months that I fell in love with Jesus Christ. Apart from that love, I am hopeless in this world. Praise God His love never fails, even when I do. So today, two yeas after walking out the doors of Mercy Ministries, I am still not perfect! Sweet sisters in Christ.

Forgiveness Made a Way: This Paleo Journey [a year later]
http://forgivenessmadeaway.blogspot.com/2015/03/this-paleo-journey-year-later.html
Wednesday, March 11, 2015. This Paleo Journey [a year later]. Twelve months ago, what began as a two week cleanse led to a journey that I never saw coming- or thought would even be possible for a girl like me. As I come up on this one year mark, I am ever thankful for this journey becoming the steadfast type. The only way that has been possible for me, has all been dependent on where the focus hinges. Perfectly in His image. He must know better then anyone what we need. There's no denying that. But after...

Forgiveness Made a Way: On Celebrating FIVE Years of Mercy
http://forgivenessmadeaway.blogspot.com/2014/07/on-celebrating-five-years-of-mercy.html
Monday, July 28, 2014. On Celebrating FIVE Years of Mercy. Five years always felt like an eternity away to me. In fact, I remember dreaming up one, five, and ten years plans back inside the walls of that big white house. I tried to find them, but couldn't. It doesn't really matter anyhow, because I am certain these five years have looked so different from the plan. And I am so thankful. In tears thankful, actually. Once you were not a people, but now you're God's people. In need of mercy. Lucky for us, H...

Forgiveness Made a Way: From Inside the Fire: Learning Grace When God Says No
http://forgivenessmadeaway.blogspot.com/2015/01/from-inside-fire-learning-grace-when.html
Saturday, January 31, 2015. From Inside the Fire: Learning Grace When God Says No. The air was bitter but the sun shone so brilliant I found myself squinting across the way. I walked with an urgency beside her, the scent of brush burning holding thick across that country air. He yelled, "the fire is spreading onto the grass. I don't think it's supposed to burn that part of the yard? I'll tell ya, moments like these make me realize as far as I have grown in my "country girl". Her answer made me pause.
