Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Water For Elephants" - Sara Gruen. This is a great, glorious, big-hearted novel set in a travelling circus touring the backblocks of America during the Great Depression of the early 1930s. It's a story of love and hate, trains and circuses, dwarves and fat ladies, horses and elephants - or to be more specific, one elephant, Rosie, star of Benzini Bros Most Spectacular Show on Earth . . . BloggingniggolB: December 2009
http://blogginginbankstown.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
A blog of my responses and reflections on web 2.0 applications and how they relate to my work in public libraries. Should be fun. Friday, December 18, 2009. Use for RSS in council productions. These sort of serialised pamplets have starting coming out with RSS links so staff or interested customers can add them to a reader and keep up to date with the information they contain. I love this idea and wondered if it could be extended to out productions like the council's agendas and minutes? Was really just ...

Wallerawang Branch Library: End of An Era
http://wallerawanglibrary.blogspot.com/2011/03/end-of-era.html
Monday, March 7, 2011. End of An Era. Its a sad day today! Firstly it is the anniversary of my husband's death and our wedding anniversary. Also I have been asked by management at Lithgow City Council to no longer Twitter or Blog as Wallerawang Library as council has no social media policy. Thank you for following Wallerawang Branch Library over the last few years. I am depressed and extremely disappointed at the decision. Labels: Lithgow City Council. March 7, 2011 at 9:06 AM. You weren't kidding there were a lot of mashups out there! My attention has been drawn by one for promoting Southern African tourism called Africa Bespoke. Both Google Maps and Flickr are used to present images of tourist destinations all over the eight countries that make up the lower half of Africa. Very neat presentation. Labels: library learning...

A blog of my responses and reflections on web 2.0 applications and how they relate to my work in public libraries. Should be fun. Monday, March 10, 2008. I'm thinking I just don't get RSS. I've recently joined Google Reader and it is a easier to look at program compared to Bloglines, but I'm still having issues. I have blogs I'd like to add to my list, they have RSS tags (little orange icons) for both entries and comments yet can do I find the URL for feeds? Thoughts and observations by. Here at work....
