Knitting saves my sanity. Monday, February 16, 2009. Every so often, one just really needs to regroup. I can always tell when I need to re-group knitting-wise when I stop knitting. When I don't even feel the desire to knit, which is really unheard of, and cause for alarm for me. Knitting is. I still love the Elizabeth Bennet. Cable Cardigan. Love it. Want it. Don't want to keep knitting it right now, a sleeve and a half short of done. Just don't. The Back to School U-Neck vest? The wool for Campbell's wi...

Sa(k)nit(t)y: December 2005

http://purlsareagirlsbestfriend.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html

Knitting saves my sanity. Saturday, December 24, 2005. The Holiday knitting is done, and wrapped. The children are running around excited and full of treats. There is just enough snow on the ground for Santa's sleigh,. And a good weather forecast for our Christmas Day drive. The eggnog is chilling. The stockings are hung. There will be knitting by the lights of the tree. As we wait for Santa's arrival later tonight. Wishing you Peace and Joy this Holiday Season. And of course, Love. Only eight days left.

Knitting saves my sanity. Sunday, October 19, 2008. I've been working on Liz (my Elizabeth Bennet. What's in the bag? Four Play (50% Wool, 50% silk) in a deep, dusky, almost black, almost navy, this picture doesn't begin to show the color well at all color. For my February Lady. Sweater that I have been dreaming of. This is Brooks Farm Tierra. Blend (I don't see it on their site). It is a Wool/Alpaca blend. I am going to use this to make Bounce. This was a wee, lone orphan, one skein of the Tierra. So, t...

It's like the Cecilia de Bucourt. If you click the link, search for shawl) shawl that Jessica Simpson has made so famous- so just accept the fact that I have jumped on the celebrity worship bandwagon and get over it, okay? Sa(k)nit(t)y: Done!

http://purlsareagirlsbestfriend.blogspot.com/2008/04/done.html

Knitting saves my sanity. Saturday, April 12, 2008. The Cobblestone sweater is done, and needs to be blocked, I think it might. He tried it on right off the needles and it wasn't as poorly fitting as I had dreaded, so I am hopeful. Tomorrow, I will block it and we will see what we will see. I was hoping that the gorgeous, back-ordered Cloud 9 from WEBS. BTW, all the (k)nitty gritty details about the vest can be found on my Ravelry page. Posted by Me at 9:11 PM. Tuesday, November 13, 2007. Ugh, I have been down and out since last Friday with this nasty bug! Grrrrr. I'm hoping to make it to work tomorrow. I have a busy week going on and I need to be there. I've been so sick that I haven't been able to knit until today. I'm trying to finish up a few UFO's so that I can concentrate on making a squares for Oliver's Fund and then make some mittens. Saturday, September 29, 2007. Wow, has it really been that long? I can't believe that it's been almost a month and a half since I last blogged. My life has become SUPER crazy. I thought that it would be easier living in town, but it just means I don't have as much down time. The house is coming along nicely. Don't know if we'll be in by Christmas, but I think shortly thereafter. I've been knitting a lot, but not as much as I would like to. We'll see if I make it! I'm hoping to be a little more visible in...

Sunday, October 21, 2007. What I did on my Fall Break from school. It took her less than 30 minutes to smack her sister upside the head. 13.5 minutes to be exact! Of course I had to end with a gratuitous dog photo. Ah, kids. Love the colors on her cast though - that is cool! These pictures are a riot! Yes, I will do a post re Soaring Eagles and I've already downloaded a few patterns to knit for you - though I am giving you advance warning that mittens and socks are not my most impressive fo.

Wednesday, December 05, 2007. Please send your prayers. This is a mall that I frequented when I lived in Omaha. My aunt (aka older sister) had just left the front entrance of this store when she heard a faint popping noise. She thought nothing of it and headed to her car as people came out screaming. Tuesday, April 24, 2007. It has been a wild and crazy week and a half or so and it will continue until the end of May I think! LOL I have been knitting quite a lot, just not really spending too much time on the laptop. I made a pair of fuzzy feet for Mr. Outdoor's great grandmother to replace a pair that she put in the dryer last week. She needs a second pair so that's what I'm working on now. HUGS) to you all. The Child Garden by Catriona McPherson – Book Review. I rarely read mysteries, and this book perfectly illustrates why – I could not put it down, I had to find out where it was going and what was really happening, and so it was interfering with my home and social life. Mysteries end up removing my free will and ability to structure my own time, and The Child Garden had me completely engrossed. July 12, 2015. Why We Work by Barry Schwartz – Book Review. Vogue 8379, I decided to make another. The fabric is an ITY knit that I ordered online a long time ago. It sat in my stash because I wasn’t sure about the print. It’s a brighter fabric than I normally choose. But I think it pairs nicely with this pattern. I’m particularly happy with how I got the colors to match up along the wrap side.
