Endless Yattering: Back on the Horse AGAIN
http://endlessyattering.blogspot.com/2012/02/back-on-horse-again.html
Faith, Birth, Food, Health, Fashion, and a little bit of everything else. Because I always have something to say. Friday, February 24, 2012. Back on the Horse AGAIN. And that this preparation is itself a meditation and its own form of sacrifice (after all, I was preparing our carnivorous household's pantry for the vegan rigors of the Ruthenian Ash Wednesday Fast! I never thought I'd feel such a basic kinship to the (rarely mentioned) women of Leviticus. :). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I dont real...

The Wild Olive: April 2007
http://thewildolive.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 27, 2007. All for The People! I'm not sure if anyone had the chance to see the Democratic Presidential Debate in South Carolina last night. EC and I watched it on MSNBC.com. After watching the debate, I have a new least favorite Democratic candidate. You can say what you want about Hillary Clinton - but at least admit she is extremely bright, politically astute, highly determined and overall, a strong candidate for the D's. Tuesday, April 24, 2007. The first time we attended the service it ...

Small Things with Great Love: I desire mercy
http://crunchydcmama.blogspot.com/2011/10/i-desire-mercy.html
Small Things with Great Love. Striving to live a life of love. Thursday, October 6, 2011. These days, I am all about Mercy. Pretty much mostly for me. The laundry needs folding, the dishes are piling, the toddler is wandering around without underwear holding his potty chair to "show me" what he did.accidentally tipping it over in the process. "Lord, have mercy," I say out loud. It's not always chaos here; I hate to paint the wrong impression. We do have. Bingo, Mr. à Kempis! Do I bend my children's wills...

Small Things with Great Love: February 2011
http://crunchydcmama.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Small Things with Great Love. Striving to live a life of love. Sunday, February 27, 2011. Hospitality, the Christ-like Kind. The trip was a good reminder that while the Colorado blue is deeply inbedded in my DNA, my husband has grafted himself in to my being. And the husband wins. That said, while we were sans-Daddy, we relied wholly and unabashadly on the hospitality of our family. And having been the recipients of their generosity for nearly a week, a word about how their hospitality warmed my soul.

Small Things with Great Love: On Giving Up Time
http://crunchydcmama.blogspot.com/2014/03/on-giving-up-time.html
Small Things with Great Love. Striving to live a life of love. Tuesday, March 4, 2014. On Giving Up Time. 8220;You look anxious,” a friend said to me recently. 8220;I have four children,” I responded. So say no more, say no more. But there was an element of truth. I have four children 6 and under. I work full-time from home. I spend at least two hours a day in the minivan, driving people to school, lessons, swimming, doctors. I try to keep the house. Can I give Him even more? Then I remembered I. It also...
