Trying to get it right the first time–aargh! | quiltfever

A condition with no known cure. 12 x 12–Favorite expressions theme →. Trying to get it right the first time–aargh! November 13, 2013. This new quilt has to go together exactly as laid out. I found I really needed a photo in front of me even after taking one block at a time off the design wall. So even with all these precautions, imagine my surprise when I put row 2 on the wall, stepped back and saw THIS…. Thank goodness for seam rippers🙂. View all posts by quiltfever →. A condition with no known cure. Quilt sale room report. Quilts as puzzles →. 12 x 12 Doors theme. October 18, 2013. There were a few members missing from our September meeting as it fell on a holiday and some of the quilts must not have made it to the photographer. I’m posting what is available. My door was symbolic. As was Linda’s. Vicki chose the band. And so did Diane. Melinda gave us some quilting humor. Love her colors! View all posts by quiltfever →. This entry was posted in 12 x 12. A condition with no known cure. 12 x 12 Doors theme. Trying to get it right the first time–aargh! October 31, 2013. Recently I was sharing my hobbies with a new acquaintance and he commented on how similar quilting is to jigsaw puzzles–both favorites of mine. I had to agree since I had recently finished this fractured quilt and found it quite a brain teaser. I used extra cuts for the backing. View all posts by quiltfever →. A condition with no known cure. 12 x 12 catch up. 12 x 12 Doors theme →. Quilt sale room report. September 30, 2013. I am happy to report I did sell the Radiant Nine Patch from my September 3 post so it is out of my house. I will show some of my favorites from the show soon. I retired in 2004 and have never missed the 8-5 grind even for a minute. Now I spend my time reading, traveling, quilting and trying to learn new things like Spanish and blogging. A condition with no known cure. Trying to get it right the first time–aargh! Quilting again →. 12 x 12–Favorite expressions theme. February 5, 2014. I had a hard time coming up with an expression I could translate into fabric! Karen chose “Chill Out Dude” for her expression. Sharyn depicts an expression her father used instead of curse words! Diane’s favorite expression is one everyone needs to remember. Linda’s depiction of her favorite is so cute. She even included some eggs! Only one theme to go!

Welcome to my world. Literacy in a Digital Age. Writing ‘Bout Reading. Yes, I Am Still Quilting. Gardening in Glen Allen. July 18, 2014. It all started quite innocently with a run to a local nursery that was clearing out begonias and geraniums for $1 each. We’ve spent several days fighting the grass that had taken over the planting beds, and I wanted to celebrate by planting something cheerful. From there I moved on to the sad-looking butterfly bush that doesn’t appear to have been cut back in years.

Quilt n Quilt Things
Monday, August 20, 2012. I am amazed that August is here and almost gone. 2012 has been a year of many changes. Some better than others. One of the things I have been thinking about is my blog. I can't believe its been 4 years. In fact my first post was on August 20, 2008. So I think it's fitting that my last post will be on August 20, 2012. I am grateful to those of you who have come faithfully and check on me and my different projects and left kind words of encouragement. I hope you have a great day.

Mijn andere grote liefde. Welcome to my blog filled with quilt- and some other story's. Make it cosy for yourself, take a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy. Placing a comment is nice though no must. ( I haven't always time to do this by others too). Zaterdag 10 januari 2015.
