Friday, October 19, 2012. Finished a memory quilt for a friend of mine using her husbands shirts. Tony passed away about 2 years ago. They were married 57 years. I received 5 plaid/stripe shirts along with 7 knit shirts. The knit shirts were hard to work with, used them for the hour glass blocks. I'm using the ChunkyChurndash. Delivering this quilt today. Linking up to Can I get a Whoop Whoop. At Confessions of a Fabric Addict and Finish it up Friday. At Crazy Mom Quilts. Friday, October 5, 2012. Coordin...

http://featherriverquilts.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 31, 2013. Last time I was at a Project Linus meeting they had batik. Batik yardage and scraps. Most of the scraps were 6”-8”x 22” or WOF. Did I need another project? Well, YES, I had just delivered 2 finished quilts; and who doesn't want to come home with a bag of batik scraps. I selected many scraps and some yardage to come home with me. Have finished two tops. An Uneven Rail Fence Quilt:. This quilt went together so fast, great for a donation quilt. Linking up to CrazyMom Quilts. This went ...

Feather River Quilts: PIQF
http://featherriverquilts.blogspot.com/2013/10/piqf.html
Wednesday, October 23, 2013. This past weekend my daughter, a friend and I went to the Pacific International QuiltFestival. It was fantastic, overwhelming, too large to absorb in one day. My daughter took almost 200 photos, she usually takes a photo of the quilt, then another of the info card; so I have lots of photos to post. So here are some of the quilts we enjoyed. My heart lies in Afric, by Mandy Kirk. Nioppon Irish Chain, by Tamaris Pardo. Birch Grove, by Anne Loveless. Star Burst, by Mieke Apps.

Riding The Orphan Train. A journey into making quilts from the leftover, unwanted and without a home pieces and quilt blocks. The 4:25 pm Pacific Northwest. Departing Chicago.heading west.come ride with us. Saturday, December 6, 2014. Even on the Orphan Train, everything is not an orphan. The 5.5" fence rail blocks are a leader/ender project. It's boring. I have 52 done, do I want to go on, well? But I had a "lightbulb" moment while sewing.what if I alternate them with a "crumbs" block? I like this idea!
