Why | If Wet...

In the village hall. Is the classic DIY response. Sam and David have seen one too many pub rock/blues bands and wanted to do something to try and bring people they admire to them. Being based out in the sticks is a mixed blessing, beautiful but culturally remote; we just hope it has enough charm to entice you to come and visit. We have also been finding that deadlines are the best way to drive when we are developing at MortonUnderwood. The If Wet Radio Show. Or anything else really.

In the village hall. Part show and tell, part test bed, part salon; a place for artists to showcase their latest sonic works and research. A place for. To revel and discuss. Was set up when we found ourselves faced with yet another night of mediocre blues covers in a local pub. It’s the classic DIY response. We’ve built it, we hope you will come…. The If Wet Radio Show. A six-part series featuring a different musical instrument or class of instrument each month - Info. Or anything else really.

Myself and my colleague David Morton started If Wet. In 2013, as a monthly event in my village hall. It was started an an antidote to the standard blues and rock covers bands that frequent such rural areas.
