Mundane Miracles: Rejection, my old friend

http://www.readaboutrenee.blogspot.com/2011/10/lonelies.html

Looking for the miracles hidden in the everyday. Wednesday, October 26, 2011. Rejection, my old friend. It's amazing how the present can bring up the past and make it seem so real again. Mommyno one wants to play with me at recess anymore. Not even my friends. I ask everybody, and nobody wants to play with me.". Oh how this mama's heart hurt at those words! I dug a little deeper and was able to find out that while she did play by herself at one recess, she played with 2 girl friends during the 2 nd.

Mundane Miracles: Wrestling

http://www.readaboutrenee.blogspot.com/2011/05/wrestling.html

Looking for the miracles hidden in the everyday. Monday, May 02, 2011. When I was younger and more full of myself, I read the story of how Jacob wrestled with an angel of God. I remember thinking to myself. How could someone wrestle with God? They must be prideful and arrogant. And then to say "I'm not letting go until you bless me? I can't even imagine! I feel like I was up all night wrestling with God.". Oh, how I am like Jacob! It's hard. Unbelievably hard. You'd think it would be easy, right? Today, ...

http://www.readaboutrenee.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html

Looking for the miracles hidden in the everyday. Saturday, August 23, 2008. Fireworks in the Rain. I have made the decision to start living. For most of my life I have just gone through the motions, getting through each day. Most recently, my days have gone something like this:. Only 2 more hours until naptime. Or "My hubby will be home in 1/2 an hour! And "I can't wait until tomorrow because of such and such.". I spend most of my time just surviving. Existing, but not living. Today was my first day of l...

Mundane Miracles: August 2009

Looking for the miracles hidden in the everyday. Thursday, August 13, 2009. Thursday August 13, 2009: 2:00 pm. I've been thinking for a long time about my relationship with blogging. It started out as a great outlet for my thoughts.I have tried my whole life to keep a journal and feel so much better when I do, but thought it would be easiest to type a journal instead of taking the time to 'write' in one. (That might actually make my hand cramp! So I'm going back to basics. Journaling. I was in charge of ...

http://roseinthemaking.blogspot.com/2011/03/happy-birthday-katie.html

Rose in the Making. My little Katydid turned 5 today. This birthday has been anticipated for some time. The poor girl has no concept of time, and every time someone would have their birthday, she'd sigh deeply and inquire when it would finally be her turn. Boy do I remember the days when time seemed to go so slowly! But she made it, and made it a point to ask every night how many days were left until the big day. Sunday, March 20, 2011. Rose in the Making. Tuesday, September 13, 2011. This is such a sweet tribute to your Rudy. I feel for all of you as you are missing your beloved friend. I cant ever forget that when you first got Rudy and you and Kevin were discussing what to name your first baby he tried to convince you his name should be Jazzbone. I think he was kidding all along but he sure tried to make it sound like he was serious about that name. :). Tuesday, September 13, 2011. Tuesday, September 13, 2011. Hugs to you all! Simple...

Rose in the Making: First Week of School

http://roseinthemaking.blogspot.com/2010/09/first-week-of-school.html

Rose in the Making. First Week of School. Well, the first week of school has come and gone already. To tell you the truth, it was a long week. After having so many days of summer fly by, it was a bit draining to endure such a long week. Don't get me wrong, we definitely had many highlights throughout the week, but I will be glad when we get more into a groove of things. But we all just need time. We need time for our bodies to get back into a schedule, time for our emotions to fall into balance. ...Kyra,...

Rose in the Making. Top 10 of 2010. We have had another very good year.and as I glance back at some of the pictures we have taken, and posts I have written, I am reminded of how much God has blessed us. Starting from the beginning of this past year, here is our top 10 highlighted/thankful moments:. 1 Our visit to Disney World. 2 Andrew's successful surgery. 3 Our many trips to the beach. I was a little nervous taking all three of my kids by myself to the beach, but was determined to not let nap times tie...

Rose in the Making: February 2011

http://roseinthemaking.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

Rose in the Making. When the New Year came to, I had intentions of not making any New Year resolutions, but focusing on having a positive attitude. Overall, I think I have done pretty well. I have been knocked down a few times (perhaps a test from God? But through people's encouragement and prayer, have been able to pick up my attitude and head in the right direction again. I seriously don't know how people can cope without God. Monday, February 21, 2011. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Kyra, 10 1/2 years old.

Striving to be fit. It’s hard to believe but just a year ago I decided it was time to get myself in shape. It was a series of events that made me realize, you know what? There is no reason to not respect the body that I was given and take better care of it. After getting to a place where I started to feel pretty good, I decided to move on to the next step and I took a Runners Bootcamp with Sarah and trained for a 5K. I ran my first 5K and I’m proud to say, I ran the entire way! I’m proud to say, I&...
