So hot in fact that I have decided to try a special Belgian yeast strain for my second attempt at a Summer Saison. Belgian yeasts are known for being able to tolerate high temperatures and high alcohol content. The primary goal of AVBC, since its humble 10 barrel beginnings from beneath the BuckHorn Saloon, has been “to create the smoothest tasting ales available anywhere. I must say this is one of my favorite west coast brewers and so far, everything I have tried from them has been very good to borderline GREAT.
