Diet Dilemma - Janathon Day 12. Be hungry. So what's a girl with a sweet tooth to do? So here is my solution. I will have a fun fruity (read: sweet) shake in the evening for a after dinner snack. Maybe if I substitute a protein snack for a sweet high carb snack, I can cut some calories and decrease the amount of unused calories at the end of the day. I'll update you only progress. So how do you conquer your sweet tooth without sabotaging all your hard work? Body contortion of the day: None - rest day.

Halfway point - Janathon. I had high hopes for this month. I planned to run every other day, build my base mileage, and go where I've never gone before! Or at the very least, I wanted to be more consistent with my running. Janathon. Is the perfect way to accomplish this goal. But I am realizing a few truths about myself. I like to run outside on trails. But I avoid running outside if the air temp is 40 degrees. I run more when I have a race on the horizon. Kickboxing 20 minutes; weight training 30 minutes.

Day 2 - Quick note. Overall yesterday was a good day. I went to barre class in the morning. Then spent the afternoon catching up with girlfriends over coffee and shopping. Yum! My meals were pretty good. I have a bit of a gorge on candy and chips in the afternoon. I am trying to meet a deadline that has past. Ugh! 1- complete 100% workouts. 2- eat breakfast at home. 3- Increase number of push ups by 5 at the end of the week. View my complete profile. Day 3 - Running in overdrive. Day 2 - Quick note.

Happy St. Patrick's Day. I hope that you are having an awesome St. Patrick's Day. I am currently recovering from running in the Rock n Roll USA Half marathon. I am still sore. But my walk and stretch have helped. The race was awesome. I ran with my BF and we had a cheering squad at different points along the race route. Having your personal cheering squad with signs is just too cool for words. Thanks, guys! Running through the neighborhoods of DC was very cool. It reminds me a bit of the NYC marathon.

Dr Quinn, Medicine Writer. Sunday, August 18, 2013. And now for something completely different. Image credit: angelfire.com. OK, time for a bit of a change-up. Change is good. Or for very long on a single-topic blog, for that matter. After four years of high school, I was off to spend a year in Sweden as an exchange student. I have been radio-silent on this blo...
