Reflections of a Ragamuffin

Reflections of a Ragamuffin. Saturday, July 12, 2008. So I'm sitting here halfway through a summer full of CTOPS, and I stand in complete awe of how GOOD the Lord is, how FAITHFUL He has been, and how many DOORS He has opened. It is hard to put into words everything I have learned about myself, my team, and the Lord this summer! Check out this song by Shane and Shane. We sang it a bunch on our Intervarsity retreat to Rockbridge, and I have been obsessed with it this week :). You are the greatest taste.

Reflections of a Ragamuffin: Grace...

http://www.reflectionsofaragamuffin.blogspot.com/2008/04/grace.html

Reflections of a Ragamuffin. Sunday, April 13, 2008. This really hit me when I read it today-. The Reformation was a time when men went blind, staggering drunk because they had discovered, in the dusty basement of late medievalism, a whole cellar-full of fifteen-hundred-year-old, two-hundred-proof grace- of bottle after bottle of pure distillate of Scripture, one sip of which would convince. Anyone that God saves us single-handedly. Profound thoughts for a sunday evening. Go in Peace this week,.

Reflections of a Ragamuffin. Tuesday, April 1, 2008. A great friend of mine writes a profound blog entry quite often that constantly inspires, encourages, and challenges me. I don't know if these entries will do any of those things, but I hope you can take something away. I am just starting to read the book of Joshua, and yesterday I was stuck on this passage from the first chapter-. Have I not commanded you? God repeats that line "Be strong and courageous" several times just in that first chapter.

Reflections of a Ragamuffin. Thursday, April 3, 2008. Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him. 2. And the LORD said to Satan, "The LORD rebuke you, O Satan! The LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is not this a brand plucked from the fire? Now Joshua was standing before the angel, clothed with filthy garments. 4. What an incredible picture. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Images from the Summer.

Carrots & Sticks: July 2008

http://kusetsu.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html

Sunday, July 20, 2008. So if you read my last post you would have seen that I promised pictures. Well now they're on facebook. Enjoy! It has been a long time since I have written one of these scintillating worldwide-interweb articles, but we are all chilling in the logement. For the afternoon with nothing better to do. I suppose you (and I) should be excited about my lack of posting, because it's a strong indication that I was busy actually doing fun things. I had Stoemp Bruxellois. Such a pleasant surpr...

Carrots & Sticks: August 2008

http://kusetsu.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html

Saturday, August 9, 2008. Tu sais que ça ira. I left off in Bruges. That weekend was really an important one, as it proved to me that intercity travel was not only a possibility, but rather an exciting prospect to pursue during the coming weekends. Bruges was the tip of the iceberg! Once we had mastered the confusing destination/arrivals board at Centraalstation, we felt a sort of manifest destiny awaken within us. Our goal was not even constrained to the Benelux: we sought to go beyond! So with these im...

http://seventeenthslate.blogspot.com/2010/11/some-people-say-our-god-is-too-big-for.html

Thursday, November 4, 2010. Some people say, "Our God is too big for our body," and then I say, "Compared to what? One week ago, i was in the middle of worship at InterVarsity, enjoying myself, praising like i do. And then we sang a song that made me sit down and totally lose my vibe. For those of you who haven't heard it, the chorus and bridge read:. Our God, Our God. Our God is greater, our God is stronger. God You are higher than any other. Our God is Healer, awesome in power. Our God, Our God. Let's ...

seventeenth slate: Celebrating Rock'n'Roll Legend Lady Gaga

http://seventeenthslate.blogspot.com/2011/01/celebrating-rocknroll-legend-lady-gaga.html

Wednesday, January 12, 2011. Celebrating Rock'n'Roll Legend Lady Gaga. So a friend of mine recently sent me a Huffington Post article about the recent Passion conference, Chris Tomlin, and Christian rock in general. It was basically saying that Christian rock is finding a niche, citing Tomlin's two albums on Billboard's top 20 last month. It was interesting enough, but it's not exactly news to those in a Christian community that David Crowder, Matt Redman, and Chris Tomlin are popular. There were a few w...

Reflections of a pseudonym. Sunday, February 6, 2011. Wrapping up the course! I am so happy to be finishing up this Web 2.0 Course. I have to admit, I was a bit reluctant at first because I felt like I had a good general understanding of the technologies already and I'd never blogged before, so initially, I had to really motivate myself to do the posts each week. I am tempted to keep this blog and post my own thoughts from time to time. :). Or gift wrap.for some reason that's what it made me think of).
