Thoughts . by Mary. Wednesday, October 19, 2011. The Truth Will Set You Free! Have I mentioned that I LOVE Oprah! I’ve been taping her Lifeclass series and watching it with Mia during the day. I feel it’s good for my daughter to be exposed to awesome messages even at two months old. What is my truth? I’ve always known and felt things. I remember being a kid and looking behind me constantly because I felt someone was following me. I knew when my Grandmother died. Being the best person you could be. The ot...

Thoughts ... by Mary: Peyton Manning ... Enough Said!
http://marysalfi.blogspot.com/2014/02/peyton-manning-enough-said.html
Thoughts . by Mary. Monday, February 3, 2014. Peyton Manning . Enough Said! Peyton Manning . need I say more! What an incredible man. I would have loved to have him crown his amazing season with a Super Bowl win but at this point I could care less about that. Richard Sherman said it best in a tweet, "Peyton is the Classiest person/player I have ever met! I could learn so much from him! Thank you for being a great Competitor and person.". I am reading an amazing book called. What I have thought about the ...

Thoughts ... by Mary: August 2011
http://marysalfi.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Thoughts . by Mary. Wednesday, August 31, 2011. My baby is four weeks old today and I am beyond thrilled! My friend gave me a card a few days before Mia was born that I am only now beginning to really understand. The Song in my heart. I wake up at 3 am to nurse my baby and I just stare at her in awe and gratitude. I thank her for coming all the time. I knew that there was someone who was supposed to be part of our family and here she is. We are all in love. I am beyond gone into her and the boys. I f...

http://marysalfi.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Thoughts . by Mary. Thursday, September 29, 2011. Time to let go! Mia turned eight weeks yesterday. I’ve finally started to realize that she’s here. I worried and stressed over having a third child for the past three years so sometimes I have to look at Mia hard to remember that the stress is over. I believe that all that worrying went somewhere and that somewhere is in my body on a cellular level. What are the benefits of worry anyway? My husband never worries unless there’s truly something to wor...

Thoughts ... by Mary: My top five
http://marysalfi.blogspot.com/2014/02/my-top-five.html
Thoughts . by Mary. Monday, February 10, 2014. My family and I went up skiing this past weekend. We had a great time but then on the way back we got stuck in the most horrendous traffic. It took us eight hours to get from Beaver Creek to Denver! During the drive, I had a lot of time to think. We started talking about all the issues that I am constantly posting about on Facebook. I came up with my top five environmental issues that are keeping me up at night. I thought about all the people in that restaur...

Thoughts ... by Mary: November 2014
http://marysalfi.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Thoughts . by Mary. Saturday, November 1, 2014. Stay calm and label. Last night we had a fabulous block party. We were among five families who planned a party where our street was blocked off and the neighborhood was invited to come share food and drink. What a wonderful community event it was. I had an interesting conversation with a friend about it last night. He voted no on the proposition. To me it seems obvious that the minimum requirement is our right to know what is in our food. Me, not calm?

http://marysalfi.blogspot.com/2014/01/on-to-next.html
Thoughts . by Mary. Wednesday, January 15, 2014. On to the next . My last post about genetically modified products was the most read post of any I have ever written. Thanks for reading and sharing! I just finished a book called, "Just Like Us: The True Story of Four Mexican Girls Coming of Age in America" by Helen Thorpe. It is a very interesting book in the concepts it brings up. This got me thinking about the current representation we have in Congress and the biggest question of all:. I can answer that...

http://marysalfi.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Thoughts . by Mary. Monday, May 23, 2011. Empathizing a little to much? My husband has always worked in the sales industry for software companies. They are quota and quarterly driven. In other words, every quarter they have to sell a certain dollar amount of software. Mind you, this is not an industry for the weak-hearted. What are we going to do? How are we going to pay our bills and so on? 8221; I don’t know, is it? I’ve come a long way … or have I? I’ve certainly had my fair share of challenges ...

http://marysalfi.blogspot.com/2014/01/it-was-only-matter-of-time.html
Thoughts . by Mary. Sunday, January 12, 2014. It was only a matter of time . Before I posted about genetically modified food! For those of you who are friends of mine on Facebook, this post will come as no surprise to you. What is the deal with Monsanto and genetically engineered products anyway? Just label it and we'll be happier. Is there maybe nothing to be proud off? Do Americans not care? Do we not deserve better food? The amount of chemicals used in growing genetically engineered foods is of the bi...
