The Rappes Adventures: Outreach in Guatemala.....
http://therappes.blogspot.com/2010/04/outreach-in-guatemala.html
Wednesday, April 28, 2010. Have decided that it is due time for an update. We have been on outreach since the end of March! The last few weeks have just flown by. It seems odd that we fly back to the states in less than three weeks. We are finishing up our time here in Guatemala by staying in a Hostel in Antigua. The base, where we spent the last week and a half, didn’t have enough room for us as well as another team coming in. Seeing the lack of hope in their eyes and words was so difficult. As you walk...

Monday, December 5, 2011. It has been awhile since we last wrote and have realized that in such we have grossly neglected keeping you informed into the exciting things God has been doing in this desert of His and how you can be involved both prayerfully and financially! We have walked into a new season in Moab. Not only as a couple but as a community of believers. God is calling us to “Rise up! Some of the biggest news we have to share is that we are going to have a baby! Silas is continuing to work at D...

The Rappes Adventures: What a week... or two... or three:)
http://therappes.blogspot.com/2010/03/what-week-or-two-or-three.html
Tuesday, March 30, 2010. What a week. or two. or three:). Phew, where do I begin? We haven’t written for about three weeks, we have had good intentions to but have been going non-stop. Let’s see March 7. We worked daily prepping for the Legacy Conference, an amazing youth gathering on the base where we live. We helped get everything ready, as well as we were super busy making baked goods and getting things ready to sell to the kids in order for us to raise funds for our Outreach. During Legacy (march 12.

The Rappes Adventures: Sonnet...
http://therappes.blogspot.com/2010/03/sonnet.html
Wednesday, March 3, 2010. Longing for the great provider. Surrendering my all for the one I love. Soaring on His words, a gentle glider. Turning my eyes to my Father up above. Lifting my eyes to heaven hour after hour. Rejoicing, singing, and worshiping Him. Turning from the ways of a world gone sour. No longer giving in to every wreckless whim. Placing myself at the center of your will. Listening to the words you place upon my heart. Over and over reminding me to be still. March 26, 2010 at 7:38 PM.

Welcome to my Peace Corps blog. The contents of this blog do not reflect the views of the Peace Corps or the U.S. Government. Who’s On First? January 31, 2010. What did you say your name was? So, I recently found out that my name (Kim or Ким) is the same as the word for “who” in Kyrgyz. What does that mean? Well, imagine I arrive at my host family’s house and they say, “What is your name? 8221; (literally, your name who? I’ll answer, “My name is Who.” They’ll say, “Who? 8221; I’ll say, “Who! I just start...

Okay, I woke up this morning to one of those emails from the Peace Corps saying that your application status has been updated. After I got up off the floor, I rushed over to the PC website and logged in. Here’s what I found: I no longer have a legal hold on my account (yay! Double yay, my placement review has been completed! Fingers crossed ;-) . December 7, 2009.
