The blog site for Rick Holliday and Holliday Photography. The Door to the Past. July 13, 2015. A prime example of the many beautiful doors in the French village of Provins. The medieval town of Provins was filled with beautiful architecture. Some of it was hidden behind walls or gates and could only be glimpsed through cracks in walls or gaps in vegetation. But, sometimes, the door in the wall was as beautiful as the treasures behind – at least I think so. Dome and Tower at Sunset. Enter your comment here.

The vibrant yellow fields of France in springtime as viewed from inside the walls of medieval Provins. We visited France during the spring and the weather was perfect. Each day was sunny and warm while overnight temperatures were cool but not cold. To add to the delightful weather, about half the fields were planted in rapeseed which was blooming a vibrant yellow while we were there. The Door to the Past.
