So Saving the World: January 2012
http://sosavingtheworld.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
So Saving the World. An every-day citizen chronicling my efforts, small and large, to save the world. Wednesday, January 11, 2012. Like a black fly in your Chardonnay. The whole idea of buying water in a plastic bottle for a dollar (or two if it’s “smart”) is pretty new—new enough to have really taken off during my relatively short lifetime. Sadly, the vast majority of these bottles are not recycled- 12% according to R.W. Beck, Inc.(again, whoever that is). Links to this post. Monday, January 9, 2012.

So Saving the World. An every-day citizen chronicling my efforts, small and large, to save the world. Thursday, July 28, 2011. Uh…Electricity, Eee-lec-tricity (anyone else remember Schoolhouse Rocks? There’s a million ways to save on electricity. What’s one we can all do? Turn off the lights! I think I’m pretty fantastic about turning off the lights…maybe even a bit obsessive. I may have or may not have been grounded for leaving on lights as a child. Oh, those secret world savers. Links to this post.

So Saving the World: Wash and Wear
http://sosavingtheworld.blogspot.com/2012/01/wash-and-wear.html
So Saving the World. An every-day citizen chronicling my efforts, small and large, to save the world. Saturday, January 7, 2012. I am quite picky about how I do my laundry—separating by color, by type, blah, blah, blah. I also don’t fully dry the majority of my clothes. Most clothes, especially “nice” ones, are only dried for about 5 minutes (enough to get the wrinkles out) then I hang them on a drying rack. 3 times the world saving! So Saving the World: May 2011
http://sosavingtheworld.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
So Saving the World. An every-day citizen chronicling my efforts, small and large, to save the world. Saturday, May 28, 2011. Oh, how I love public transit. I take public transit to and from work nearly every day. Most people that have spent more than one day in Chicago have probably used the CTA (Chicago Transit Authority)—the bus or the “El”—at least once. Of course, not everyone is a public transit fan. And there are plenty of reasons not to love public transit. Like…. The El usually stinks. I’v...

So Saving the World. An every-day citizen chronicling my efforts, small and large, to save the world. Friday, December 30, 2011. Let me start with same simple facts. I have my limits. The point of this blog is to prove to myself (and hopefully others) that one everyday person really can make a difference in the world. But, I’m not insane. Let’s all give that lady a round of golf claps for doing the unthinkable. December 30, 2011 at 7:27 PM. December 30, 2011 at 7:42 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

So Saving the World: Read Right
http://sosavingtheworld.blogspot.com/2012/01/read-right.html
So Saving the World. An every-day citizen chronicling my efforts, small and large, to save the world. Monday, January 9, 2012. When the Kindle came out, I hated the idea. I was 100% convinced that there’s just something about holding a well-worn and well-loved novel with your fingertips poised to turn the page as you anxiously await the next turn of the plot that can’t be replaced. My fellow readers know what I mean, right? Then I got a Kindle as a gift. And I started trying to save the world.

So Saving the World. An every-day citizen chronicling my efforts, small and large, to save the world. Thursday, December 29, 2011. Throwing Rocks at Birds*. Once my husband said something along the lines of “It’s like I was throwing rocks at two birds.” I gasped, “Why are you throwing rocks at birds? 8221; Thankfully, what he meant to say was, “It’s like I killed two birds with one stone.” To be fair, English is his second language. Looks like I have my first reusable grocery bag! Or 660.441.0598. No ani...
