Life Up Here: September 2011

Friday, September 23, 2011. Working on Our Curb Appeal. Since we moved in to our place over a year ago, we have not been crazy about our yard. It was kind of a forest and very overgrown. In June and July we had a lot of help from family to get projects done and we are loving the result, even if it is far from done. Jon and his dad pulled out tons of bushes and revealed.a house! These Dogwood bushes could have been pretty if they weren't. A) planted too close together. B) planted too close to the house.

Wednesday, September 7, 2011. Things to remember today. Blake's prayer at bed time:. Dear Heavenly Father, Thankful for this day at night. Thankful for this house. Please bless me to be safe from the ghost and witches and bless the scarecrow in the field to be safe from the pigeons. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.". I brushed my teeth really well Mom. See? I brushed them really well! So proud of himself and love the correct use of words :). Mom I made you a picture. Home made gifts are always good!

Life Up Here: November 2010

Wednesday, November 24, 2010. When Blake was born we used a large walk-in closet in our one bedroom apartment as his nursery. Other than bedding, and something to hang on the wall, there was almost nothing I could do to decorate it since we still used it as our closet as well. It took two coats of primer and two coats of paint to cover up this bright turquoise. Links to this post. Sunday, November 14, 2010. Jack Sione Nielsen is here! Make your own free photo slideshow. Life Up Here: June 2011
http://3nielsens.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 15, 2011. A view from the front door on the 29th of December. Beautiful right? A Winter wonderland, right? Well, yes. But the wonderland sticks around well into May, and this year it snowed on the 29th of May. So, naturally, some of us get a little tired of all the white and all the cold, since it seems to be around more than it is not. The beast. I have no idea how to use it which could be a problem if I'm ever home alone :). Here's my Dad in all of Jon's gear. But, this guy. On December...

Tuesday, August 16, 2011. 9 Month Old Jack. Our little Jack is nine months old! It has been such a long time since I've written anything about our Jack. Since I'm having photo/computer issues, here are some pictures straight off my phone. Jack went in to the doctor for his check-up and all is well. Here are his percentiles:. Jack also loves bouncing in his jumper. He loves music as well and does a good little bouncy dance to the beat. A few random things about Jack:. He sucks his thumb, bad I know. He ha...

Life Up Here: July 2011
http://3nielsens.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 5, 2011. We should have played! We did go out to dinner a time or two while Blake was in AZ for a week with his grandparents, but we surely did not do anything else all that fun. We worked every night on our master bedroom. Okay, that actually is kind of fun in my book :). But now, that blue is gone baby gone! Links to this post. Jack has several cousins that are close in age to him. I love that there will be cousins for him to play with on both sides of the family. Links to this post.

Life Up Here: March 2011
http://3nielsens.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 17, 2011. We checked in with the doctor yesterday for Jack's four month check-up. He's 15.3 lbs 53rd%. 2625 inches tall 87th%. And his head is a whopping 17.25 inches putting him in the 84th% or if you go off the WHO percentiles his head is in the 93rd% Whoa! Blake's was still bigger, he created his own curve that was off the chart! The doctor said that recommendations have changed on when to start solids. not until 6 months now? Hmmm seems like Jack is going to starve if we follow that!
