One More Time: July 2010
http://bjgarner.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 18, 2010. So we started the hike (with a nice little added warmup). We were so happy-little did we know what we had signed up for. It was an extremely intense hike. Very steep, but really great. After about two hours, we finally hit the fun stuff! Does it count as scrambling if you are really just jumping down 10 foot crevices? We were loving it, but it was also nice to get to a place where we could see the top. Tuesday, July 6, 2010. There's David down there somewhere. Now this is hiking!

One More Time: June 2011

Thursday, June 2, 2011. It was not even worth trying to salvage clothes or shoes. So they collected people's shoes (if they wanted) and donated them to Africa. Haven't posted in a while so have a bit of catching up to do. Back in April, spent a weekend in West Virginia at the Lost River Cabins with friends. Had a blast. Games, hiking, horse back riding, and LOTS of food! Food seems to be a recurring theme in my activities. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Dacia and Kevin Mumford.

One More Time: Peep Challenge.
http://bjgarner.blogspot.com/2011/04/peep-challenge.html
Thursday, April 14, 2011. Our family's peep challenge wasn't quite as expected. I had some really big ideas, but it didn't turn out quite like i hoped. But lots of good lessons learned for next year. I decided to do a scene from Despicable Me. I loved the minions-they were so funny. Minions with all their weapons so they can take over the world. A Minion sitting on a copy machine. A minion hammering a nail and hitting another minion instead. Mom, Dad and baby minion. April 15, 2011 at 5:05 AM. Picture Wi...

Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Mom and Dad came up for the weekend for the Cherry Blossom Festival. Sadly, it was freezing and we even got snow on Saturday night. We still had a blast at the festival, walking around the blossoms and of course, eating the entire weekend. Mom and Dad especially enjoyed DC Cupcakes. First hike of the season. It was great. White Oak Canyon in Shenandoah National Park. We may have lost the trail for a bit. But its okay to just make a new one right? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

One More Time: April 2010
http://bjgarner.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 22, 2010. Last weekend Mom, Dad, Riley and I all participated in an Urban Dare here in DC and WON! We joined forces with two other teams (friends of mom/dad/riley from NC) in the beginning to solve the clues, and then actually went from clue to clue with one other team. Naturally you scan through all the clues to see if you know anything and of course, what does Riley catch onto? On our way to the next clue was the bonus question. Get your picture with an outdoor ad that shows the pre...

One More Time: June 2010
http://bjgarner.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 4, 2010. So we decided to try some other trails in the area. While we had a blast, the trails were not very intense. So we decided to do some "off trail" exploring and followed the river for a while. If you thought BlackWater Falls were amazing, the falls we found were just incredible. While I'm sure we weren't the first people to ever go this route, it was definitely not an actual trail. We just climbed through trees, scrambled over rocks, and tried not to fall in the river.

One More Time: Baltimore
http://bjgarner.blogspot.com/2011/03/baltimore.html
Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Spent a weekend a while back up in Baltimore with some friends who live there. What a great place. Also, a little scary, but had a great time! They took me out for brunch to a place called Paper Moon. I don't even know how to describe it. Food was good, and decor was definitely unique. I even tried a bacon milkshake. Wasn't terrible, but probably wouldn't get it again. Then we went and walked around Fort McHenry. And just explored Baltimore (and maybe found a snack or two).
