Rugby Players Are Enormous These Days! October 1, 2013. One of the appealing things about rugby, historically, as a sport is that it is for ALL sizes….I’m not so sure that is the case anymore. You either need to be massive or really massive…I jest, there are a few smaller players playing the game, but those smaller players are still nearly 6 feet and weigh over 90kg….what happened to the 5’5″ scrum half who weighed 70kg, ringing wet!
