https://runawaykiteblog.wordpress.com/2013/09/11/spring-fabric-time
Ramblings of my runaway mind. In Architecture and Design. Asymp; 3 Comments. It sure is in the air! Melbourne is offering us some gorgeous spring weather, but just can’t part from the grey chill of winter. Maybe the sun just needs a little more encouragement to come out. Here are a few of my favourite spring look fabrics around right now. Dahlia pattern by Imogen Heath. Feather pattern in yellow by Imogen Heath. Images above via Imogen Heath. Bird of Paradise cushion in Blue by fenton&fenton. I like the ...

The Pensieve
A little stone basin where I place my thoughts. Wednesday, October 22, 2014. An ode to the lady who was my third parent. Clean, perfectly groomed and the lingering perfume of Afghan snow. That's how I remember my grandma. My grandparents lived with us so when I think back on the 'parenting' I had its hard to remember something that my grandma was not involved in. The last day I spent with Paati. Thursday, June 5, 2014. I looked there and right on top I'd added a line about being part of the Office Choir ...
Runaway Kitchen
Tuesday, June 9, 2015. Doogh, summer heat and my favorite salt. The sunny, lazy days of summer are here a bit early this year. Spring has more summer than in it than I've experienced in a while and all of Seattle is responding in kind with tank tops, ice cream strolls and grocery stores running out of ice. I just made my self a tasty batch and sip away while the fan blows my hair, Chavela Vargas. Croons and I type away on my dusty old blog. Makes enough for 2. 1 cup 2T cold water. Splash of club soda.

Runaway Kite | ramblings of my runaway mind
Ramblings of my runaway mind. Tiles, Tiles, Tiles! In Architecture and Design. Asymp; Leave a comment. Although what interiors product. I like, huh? My new absolute love is tiles that make a statement. I find standard modern bathrooms these days a little on the dull, sterile side. Why so boring when there are so many design options out there! So, here is a very image heavy post by me to let you know what my heart thinks of the tiling options available. Bring on the retro! Via New York Times. Aiming more ...
Runaway Kite
Thursday, May 3, 2012. So, I'd really like to do this ad with a magical gnome.' So began my pitch to Humboldt Surfrider. They had a lot of faith in me and let me do this slightly unusual ad ;). This ad really gave me a chance to get back to shooting a lot. I do so much visual effects work, it seems like I have fewer and fewer opportunities to create ads that are solely image and film based. It was refreshing.and yeah, I squeezed a few visual effects in there as well ;). Friday, September 9, 2011. After a...
Runawaykiwi | A Kiwi Expat Living In London
Coffee & Brunch. Expat, gallery ghost and flat white addict. Make London less boring. What happens when you watch back to back episodes of Gilmore Girls on a long haul flight. My favourite things about long haul flights. The one minute update. August 9, 2015. A behind the scenes tour of St Pauls. Once fortified with tea and scones it was time for us to brave the dome. Now the aforementioned fear of heights? Coming down from the dome there was just enough time to hear someone practicing on the organ and p...

There is something very beautiful in work which is well and precisely done. It is a participation in the activity of God, who makes all things well and wisely, beautiful to the last detail. -Jean Vanier. Thursday, March 20, 2014. Infinity Scarf for Never-Ending Winter. Winter just doesn't seem to want to end this year . So last week, when I was out wool shopping for just the right skein of pink baby yarn to make one of t hese. For a friend's new family addition, I also stumbled across this pattern. Using...
