5 Lessons After 5 Years of Running | Joseph Rolnicki

https://runnerminimalistvegetarian.wordpress.com/2015/07/10/5-lessons-after-5-years-of-running

5 Lessons After 5 Years of Running. The first time I ever remember running as a form of exercise was in 2005. It was one of several attempts in a summer where free time came in extensive and elongated waves. The next few years, my running efforts were consistently inconsistent, highlighted by a failed half-marathon training program. The first race I ever registered for was the Ragnar Relay. First, I usually only run for four months a year. Third, I wouldn’t run if music did not exist. After five years, I...

First, running hurts a lot, but it gets better. Second, you do not need running clothes to run. Third, runners don’t look like runners. A misconception exists when we consider what the average runner looks like. It may be the idea of a person with a tight shirt, short shorts, and thin as a rail. Fourth, you don&#821...

An Introduction to Minimalism | Joseph Rolnicki

https://runnerminimalistvegetarian.wordpress.com/2015/01/23/an-introduction-to-minimalism

An Introduction to Minimalism. There is this thing out there called minimalism. I identify as a minimalist. When people ask me what that means, I pause, because I have no idea where to start. Let’s start here. At the age of 26, I encountered what few people ever will. I had everything that I ever wanted. Whenever I thought of What makes me happy? I mean, I was 26, I knew how think with my brain and speak with my mouth and walk with my feet. I had this whole living thing figured out. If my ideal of happin...

8 Reasons I Stopped Collecting Books | Joseph Rolnicki

https://runnerminimalistvegetarian.wordpress.com/2015/02/01/8-reasons-i-stopped-collecting-books

8 Reasons I Stopped Collecting Books. Aside from movies and clothes, my archive of books was my most expensive and perplexing set of possessions. Novels. Non-Fiction. Graphic Novels. Text books. Little books on grammar and writing. Big books on Personality and Psychology. At one point, I owned 120 books. I now own less than 10. The slow burning of a realization that all my big books served little to no purpose. It just meant that I had more stuff to organize, and clean, and move. My Trophy Case –. I neve...

Just-In-Case | Joseph Rolnicki

https://runnerminimalistvegetarian.wordpress.com/2015/07/07/just-in-case

The more I try to understand the purpose of ownership, the more I am confronted with the invasive notion of “just-in-case” items. Just-In-Case items are purchased in a precautionary, anticipatory manner. We all know what they are, and we all have them…in many forms, for many reasons. Their acquisition and presence serves as a safeguard against a complex, multi-layered impending dilemma:. When I downsized and minimized. Of 150 existed and flourished Just-In-Case I, or my company, wanted to watch a movie a...

The next post will be the before and after photos! May 1, 2015 · 2:14 pm. Because all good things must come to an end…. After a ridiculous amount of hours. So many more hours then I had originally anticipated, which lets be realistic all the stories/blogs I could find about RV renovation blatantly stated would happen, I am finished! So venture ahead for the long awaited before and after photos. The kitchen is another area that I am very please with. Overall the kitchen improvements were mostly paint ...

The next post will be the before and after photos! April 18, 2015 · 11:44 pm. Sometime I can have genius level ideas….or at least they feel that way to me. I had this one while trying to figure out the best way to live in the camper with a cat. Most blog and boards that I read basically said that campers put the kitty litter box in the shower and then move it when they need to use the shower. Ew! I mean I totally would have done it if needed but still ew. The next post will be the before and after photos!

However the locks that were in place were very rough looking! So I replaced them! Much nicer looking. And a bit larger for that added security. No it’s not going to stop someone who is intent on getting in to my camper but it will dissuade the causal theft who is looking for easy access. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

April 18, 2015 · 11:26 pm. More painting. Because painting is everything. Painting is life. And the painting is done! It seemed to take forever, and it did take forever but it is done. Here is a bit of the bathroom painted. I have been finishing up the cabinets for the bathroom, kitchen and living room areas. As always the painting is a messy affair! Sometimes I break things while working on the camper. Small things usually, big things occasionally. This is my favorite broken object so far….

Ew! | Renaissance Woman

https://gypsysarah.wordpress.com/2015/02/11/ew

I am really good at messes. February 11, 2015 · 6:00 pm. I am pretty sure I have found corners of this camper that haven’t been cleaned since it was manufactured in 1992. Buckets of water turn black after cleaning just a small area. I have even cleaned the toilet already. But I have finally encountered something I did not want to deal with! For the sake of anybody reading this I did not take a picture. I also took about 15 minutes to get up the nerve to clean it. I am really good at messes. A space for a...

More painting. Because painting is everything. Painting is life →. April 18, 2015 · 10:54 pm. Someone asked me the other day What brought on this camper/minimalism thing? On a very basic level my train of thought was:. I move a lot! 8212;- I am so sick of moving stuff and paying apartment deposits. —- How can I manage to not do this again but still maintain my gypsy lifestyle? 8212;- A camper! 8212;- I own too many things to fit into a camper so I need to get rid of things. I spend a lot of time cleaning the camper…. It is nice that as I finish projects I can remove tools, empty paint cans, etc. February 10, 2015 · 8:05 pm. The next post will be the before and after photos! I have been stingy lately with the posts and photos because I didn’t want to give too much away. Me. | Renaissance Woman

https://gypsysarah.wordpress.com/about

I like to dip my chocolate chip cookies in orange juice. I eat mac and cheese with chop sticks. I occasionally lick quarters. I fearlessly lead the way through haunted houses. I misquote movies and I am still trying to figure out why I don’t like pants. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:. Runner meets foodie

Sunday, July 28, 2013. Cold drinks on a summer night. James and I enjoyed drinks at three different hot spots in and around Fells Point last night: Rye. And Fleet Street Kitchen. This was our first visit to Rye and Fleet Street Kitchen. I don't usually imbibe in cocktails, but I thought I'd give one a try at Rye. James' drink is on the left, mine on the right. A long slice of cucumber is in my drink (I love cucumbers, though that isn't why I ordered the cocktail). I had a glass of sauvignon blanc and Jam...

Gear Science. Running. Sunday, February 24, 2013. DIY MegaKey: The Solution to Jingle Free Running. Warm breeze, sun shining, steady breathing, and the soft crunch of dirt under running shoes as trees go by on the trail: my idea of the perfect, tranquil, run. Notice what isn't in that picture? The jingle of keys clinking together with every step - it's enough to drive a runner mad. Finally though, I've found a real solution to stopping keys from jingling during runs. Attaching them to my watch. It comes ...

This rambling of a tangled web of cluttered thoughts that cloud my brain until I can sort through them on my runs.
