http://whereintheworld-stephanie.blogspot.com/2013/06/driving-from-phuentsholing-to-thimphu.html
Driving from Phuentsholing to Thimphu. It was cold and rainy when we arrived in Thimphu but before going to the hotel it was necessary to stop at Memorial Chorten to spin the prayer wheels and circumambulate at least three times in a clockwise direction. Memorial Chorten on a sunny day. (Image from wikipedia. The balcony had a Muffin cage. And a very short door. When we arrived this chair was mysteriously placed in front of the mirror. Some sort of Buddhist mystery to ponder? Day Six Coming Soon. My debu...

The Obligatory Ultra Running Blog: A Change of Plans
http://theobligatoryultrarunningblog.blogspot.com/2014/08/a-change-of-plans.html
The Obligatory Ultra Running Blog. Sunday, August 17, 2014. A Change of Plans. There has been a pretty major change of plans for this year. No Cactus Rose 100. http://theobligatoryultrarunningblog.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
The Obligatory Ultra Running Blog. Saturday, April 11, 2015. Grasslands 2015 - The Mud and Oxford Comma. I was prepared to DNS this post but finally got around to it, not that there is much to post. I came really close to not even heading out to the race. I battled a knee injury all winter and never really got in any kind of proper training and never lost my "winter" weight. So on race day, I got up early, under trained and over weight and made the long drive out to the Grasslands 50. Then the traffic.

I ran My road isn't quite as scenic. But recognizing enough landmarks to get me around. Happy running and eating this week! My debut n...

Great variety of runs from rain, solo, and hard hills in the heat lead to us being ready for pretty much anything this morning when we defeated the snooze button. Biker: "On your left! Was the soundtrack for the morning. Having ...
