Not really a mod as such, but my family chipped together for my 50th birthday (yes, I am now officially an old fart! And paid for these personalised number plates. Although I would have preferreed "OGGIE", this was already taken along with a number of variations, leaving "O66IE" as the closest I could get. Still, I think they are kinda cool! 200SX Bumper Repair

The front bumper was cracked on the drivers side when purchased, so required repair before painting. I have never previously attempted fibreglassing, though had observed my father doing some small fibreglassing jobs on a number of occassions. I purchased a fibreglass repair kit, read the instructions to refresh my memory and laid some chopped strand behind the break, then carefully wetted it out with resin and finally rolled out the excess and left it to harden. When I bought the car, it was in the process of being prepared for a respray. Some panels had been filled and partially sanded back. There were still a number of smaller dings and scratches that needed filling and sanding back. I spent a number of weekends carefully filling and smoothing the body work, then I began removing any easily removable body panels (i.e. bumpers, boot lid, bonnet) in readiness to mask up the car. A few pics of my latest project (as purchased). May 2002 Nissan 200SX GT Spec S. Odometer: 130,000 km. Engine: SR20DET (2.0 litre DOHC Turbocharged Intercooled), Max RPM: 7500. Stock Power: 147kW (197 HP) @ 6000 RPM (flywheel). Stock Torque: 265 Nm (196 lb/ft) @ 4000 RPM. Stock Boost: 6-7 PSI. Drive Train: 6 Speed Manual Transmission, Rear Wheel Drive, Helical Limited Slip Differential. Features: Airconditioning, Leather Seats, Chrome Door Handles, Chrome Gear Boot Surround, Alloy Pedals.

Be careful when buying suspension components off eBay. They are not all the same! This will hopefully stop the slight rub I get when I hit mid-corner bumps. I also purchased a pair of rear camber arms from eBay to remove the remaining excess negative camber. I complained to the supplier and requested a full refund. The supplier initially denied all responsibility and told me that there are numerous suppliers selling these exact same arms all over eBay (as if this means that they are fine!
