Step 1: I must admit I am powerless over my hurts, habits, and hang-ups, that my life has become unmanageable. In the Twelve Steps to Recovery, this is the first step. Before coming to The New Beginnings (TNB), this is the point where my life stood. I was powerless to change things out of my control, and my life was unmanageable. I was surviving instead of living. God has since used The New Beginnings to change that. I have been provided with a safe, healthy environment that my son and I now call home.
