Skip to the content. With a muting system is a special music instrument. The secret of the muting mechanism developed by Marc Ramser lies in its simplicity. It functions reliably and allows a differentiated sound composition. The mute is an aluminum bar equipped with felt pads or wedges which, in its idle position, rests against the strings from below. The stable construction of the 2-m long instrument conveys a safe and secure feeling. Harmonious sounds can arrange water molecules in a perfect pattern healing through sounds all the way down to the cell structure! The notes C sharp, D sharp, F sharp, G sharp and B flat are marked with differently colored wood on the bridges, similar to the piano. Skip to the content. The Persian santoor is the original form of the hammered dulcimer (traditional hammers are illustrated). The treble bridge divides the strings at a ratio of the octave 1:2. In the original construction there are adjustable bridges instead of the single treble bridge. This feature allows the player to change the tuning of the instrument within minutes to different modal scales even with quarter-note intervals. The santoor is particularly suitable for improvised music.
