We Have a Secret. To Share with you. The Salem Historical Society’s Freedom Hall now has a secret hiding place replicating the hiding rooms utilized in Salem in assisting fugitive slaves on their journey to freedom to Canada. This new addition was the inspiration of Jerry Laska, education coordinator, but Lou Raneri and Mike Wargo, Society volunteers, provided the perspiration.
