Hosts our country's biggest and advanced power generating station- Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited. Kaiga is a small town, hardly 40 kms from Karwar has the nuclear plant which is used to generate safe and eco-friendly power. Monday, 1 December 2014. Kingfishers of Kaikondrahalli Lake. Located near sarjapur road Bangalore, Kaikondrahalli Lake. As I entered the park I noticed atleast 3 common blue kingfishers. Flying from one corner of the lake to other. They sat on the cement pavements to fish. Purple Rumped Sunbird- Female. Purple Swamphen with chick. And now the show-stopper. Couple of Pied Kingfishers. Pied Kingfisher with a crest. I began searching for white throated kingfishers and guess what I found? In the same trail.
