Bike99: February 2011
http://bike99.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Ironman Canada 2011 to raise money for ALS Canada. Tuesday, February 15, 2011. I'll try to keep it brief. January started off as a GREAT training month, I nailed 3 weeks of a new program getting 3-4 runs a week, 3 bikes, and 1 swim. Then I was forced kicking and screaming to my stag party held in Las Vegas. That was a bit nuts. Also 3 days of binge drinking is not in many Ironman Handbooks. Photos later. Im off! Ironman Canada 2011 to raise money for ALS Canada. Monday, September 5, 2011. Taper to Ironman Canada. Loaded to the nuts. We drove up to Penticton on August 23rd and checked into our motel, nice place with a pool and courtyard. Our room has its own kitchen at least for cooking meals along with a separate bedroom for when I need my naps! The nervous tension in town is insane, people are all out ripping on the road bikes, running by me, and here I am resting? Jordan Rapp's Nutrition Speech. Carlos Vilchez...

Ironman Canada 2011 to raise money for ALS Canada. Monday, September 5, 2011. 5/8 Huge Weekend of Mountains. First up I met up with the Runners of Compassion Group, RoC, Nanaimo. Great group of people. Left at 730am with group B, only 3 of us, great trails and climbs and singletrack. Pushed hard on the way out keeping the pace with a much fitter lady. Also was lucky enough to be behind a very gassy lady, good motivation to sprint past at least. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 5000 words. Gone. Victor...

Julie's Triathlon Journal: Great White North 1/2 Iron Race Report -- July 7, 2013
http://runningwithdoggies.blogspot.com/2013/07/great-white-north-12-iron-race-report.html
Friday, July 12, 2013. Great White North 1/2 Iron Race Report - July 7, 2013. This was the first year of the new course -. Was changed from two loops with a beach run to a single swim loop. This was an awesome change - the best way I can sum up this change is with a story of a friend who is small in stature and who literally got stuck in the mud/goose poop one year mid-course. Hahahahaha. The bike course was changed to two loops - it was a challenging course with the wind. This was the first time in my l...

Julie's Triathlon Journal: June 2014

Wednesday, June 18, 2014. 2014 Chinook Half Triathlon Race Report. Winner schwag AND a photobomb! I won first overall female! Photo courtesy of Gord Bramfield. Race week started off less than ideal. Traveling from Cozumel back home involved a ferry, a bus, a plane, another plane, then an overnight, then another drive. Traveling this much takes a lot out of me, so I was careful to wash my hands, drink a lot of water, eat right, basically do everything in my power to lower my stress levels. I had (and stil...

Julie's Triathlon Journal: June 2013
http://runningwithdoggies.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 14, 2013. Life is good back home on Canadian soil! The smell of GREEN is so insanely amazing - you don't get that smell in Cozumel. The lilacs are blooming and when I run down the highway I get to run AND smell the flowers at the same time. Yes, I think this is extremely funny - this is my type of joke. See everyone? I don't have to stop and smell the flowers, I can have my cake and eat it too! To really mess up some metaphors! Most people are full of bullshit. Well, it is all bullshit.
