A Day In The Life of Kyla: August 2012
http://kylavanvoorst.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
A Day In The Life of Kyla. Monday, August 20, 2012. Sunday was our family outing day. Basically we needed to go to Costco so we decided to make a day of it and hoped and prayed that our weather apps would be wrong. Boy were they! We left home dressed for the Oregon Coast. My fellow Oregonians know this means jeans, long sleeve shirts, jackets, and hats. Thankfully I had packed some "just in case" clothes that was perfect for the unheard of 70 degree weather at the beach! Tuesday, August 14, 2012. Is such...

A Day In The Life of Kyla: July 2013
http://kylavanvoorst.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
A Day In The Life of Kyla. Tuesday, July 2, 2013. Bare Buns and Piggy Tails. I don't know how life got so busy that I didn't even take time to write, but it did. So much has happened and yet so much is the same, every day happenings that make me feel so blessed. Timo is home for the summer and once again, I'm reminded why we love being teachers. He spends his days fishing and puttering around the house like an old man. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Land Where Snails Rest. Jessie the PE Teacher.

http://kylavanvoorst.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
A Day In The Life of Kyla. Thursday, June 14, 2012. Weighs 16.6 pounds and is 28 inches long (getting that checked next week). Is in size 3 diapers. Wears 9 month clothes. Still refuses to crawl but does roll like crazy and does this weird twisting army man thing to get to what she wants. Laughs all the time. Loves to feed herself. Gets to start water babies next week. Thinks her brother is the greatest. Yells at him when he takes something away from her. Is very attached to mommy. Jessie the PE Teacher.

A Day In The Life of Kyla: February 2013
http://kylavanvoorst.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
A Day In The Life of Kyla. Tuesday, February 12, 2013. We had a long car ride Sunday afternoon so the kids and I were itching to get some fresh air. not to mention I was a massive grouch so I just wanted a distraction. So we took Kenya for a walk, let the kids run, and played on the slide for a while. Seeing my kiddo's smiles always makes me feel better. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A Day In The Life of Kyla: Wedding Day
http://kylavanvoorst.blogspot.com/2013/08/wedding-day.html
A Day In The Life of Kyla. Monday, August 12, 2013. I know, once again, it's been a while, but this was one blog post I couldn't put off. My cousin Amber, got married Saturday and I got to have the honor of being in her wedding. I don't even know how to begin to describe the relationship we have. And seeing her beaming all day Saturday made everything worth it (it was quite the planning ordeal). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Land Where Snails Rest. Jessie the PE Teacher.

A Day In The Life of Kyla: Sickies, Snot and Soup
http://kylavanvoorst.blogspot.com/2013/01/sickies-snot-and-soup.html
A Day In The Life of Kyla. Friday, January 25, 2013. Sickies, Snot and Soup. Yesterday ended at midnight rocking a miserable little boy to sleep, and started this morning at 430 with a miserable little girl. My bed and I got puked on at 645 and the fun hasn't stopped since. I have to say that snot disgusts me. Green snot is even worse. My kids are full of thick, green snot and I can't handle it. Neither can breathe, neither can sleep and so nap time was nonexistent. I'm praying for bedtime just so I can ...

A Day In The Life of Kyla: January 2013
http://kylavanvoorst.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
A Day In The Life of Kyla. Thursday, January 31, 2013. We made it outside for the first time in a week! There was still snot, and lots of it. There was still coughing, and lots of it. But we were FREE! I feel like Mel Gibson with blue face paint. It was that dramatic for me. Only mommies who have been cooped up with sick kids can understand this type of exhilaration at the idea of going in the backyard. Going to the store is going to be epic! Friday, January 25, 2013. Sickies, Snot and Soup. My kiddos ha...

A Day In The Life of Kyla: First Day of Preschool
http://kylavanvoorst.blogspot.com/2013/09/first-day-of-preschool.html
A Day In The Life of Kyla. Monday, September 9, 2013. First Day of Preschool. Today is Will's first day of preschool and it totally didn't go as I expected. Maybe that was problem number 1. I had expectations. Never do that with a 3 year old and a 1 year old when trying to actually get out of the house and be on time in the morning. Somehow my child found a blue permanent marker.and now it's all over my kitchen table. He had it everywhere! I've tried hairspray, toothpaste, and rubbing alcohol. I pretty m...

A Day In The Life of Kyla: September 2012
http://kylavanvoorst.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
A Day In The Life of Kyla. Thursday, September 20, 2012. This has been a strange month and a half filled with lots of stress, both bad and good, but stress none the less. This month, out of the blue, I got a teaching job! This is, without question, the biggest source of stress. I'm beyond excited for my new job, the students seem to be awesome, but like any new job, it's a lot of learning and figuring things out and I'm doing that as I go. This month also brings a busy time for Timo and I. Timo has a...
