Tuesday, July 08, 2008. And not just allowed me to lose my job. In essence, is it enough if all I have is God? Is it enough to have Him, even if He does not shower me with blessings? Is "God nothing" enough? This really made me stop and think. Right now, I'm not sure that I trust God enough to say "yes" to these questions.but I want to. May He enable me to give all of myself, everything I have to Him.as He, in His Son, has done for me. You are a delight to God and to others! I'll call soon. Love you!

Wednesday, February 20, 2008. When God Moves, He Moves Quick! It's been over a month since my employer and I made the mutual decision that I should start looking for other work. It's been a slow process and incredibly stressful for me (especially on top of looking for housing). My Mom (the wise woman that she is) has been encouraging me that everything will just suddenly fall into place. Well, this week has already been a whirlwind of change and it's only Wednesday! God is truly never early, never late.

Friday, February 20, 2009. Isaac's 4 month baby wellness checkup was this afternoon. We were supposed to go last week but I just couldn't handle going alone! I needed R there to comfort me while I comforted Isaac when he got his shots. Sniff, sniff. He did so much better this time than his 2 month shots! He cried for sure, but was easily consoled and is now contentedly swinging in his swing. Our little son now weights 14 pounds, 3 ounces and is 25 and a half inches long! I have to agree! Monday, December 28, 2009. This was the first Christmas that Isaac was actually aware enough to participate. Last year he was such a little biddy! It was such a joy to watch him take it all in! I made R a quilt.that's almost finished (oops, ran out of time). We both got teary when he opened his gift. Not exactly sure why, but we did. R painted me an AMAZING picture of a desert scene in Africa, complete with giraffes. SO COOL! We spent a quiet day at home with us and R's cousin. Such a perfect day!

Friday, October 23, 2009. It's incredible to watch how Isaac is becoming more and more capable of interacting and communicating with us. He loves to make this face at us because he knows he'll get a laugh every time. We're not exactly sure where he got it, but imagine a wrestler posing to show off his muscles with a silly grin and you've got the idea! Recipe adapted from Six Sisters' Stuff. 1 small yellow onion. 1/2 c Mezzetta roasted bell peppers. 1 can Ro*Tel original diced tomatoes and green chiles, undrained. 4 cloves of garlic. 1 can cream of chicken soup. 1 can cream of mushroom soup. 1 1/2 T Mexican spice mixture*. 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed. 1 bag thick corn tortilla chips. 1 bag (2 c) shredded Mexican cheese blend. 1/2 c shredded sharp cheddar cheese. 1 T chili powder.
