Random ramblings of an old/new runner. Saturday, February 28, 2009. Run #34 - Easy 12 miles. I did eat a decent lunch, peanut butter sandwich with some tortilla chips and salsa, summer sausage and some cheese. The problem is that i ate that 4 hours before I ran. So at mile 10 I was hitting the wall. I would push through for a song and then slow down, and push again. At the end of the run my time basically sucked, but I did make my distance. I attributed. Random ramblings of an old/new runner. Saturday, January 31, 2009. Run #14 - Easy 7 miles - The Pain of the Road. Good evening everyone. Well as excited as I was about my tempo run on Thursday, I am frustrated and disheartened by today's long run. Since all of my typical routes were snow/ice covered, I laid out a 3.6 mile loop through Bethel. Tomorrow is a short (3 mile) easy run and then off to watch Arizona put a smack down on the thugs from Pittsburgh. Take care, stay warm. Thursday, January 29, 2009.

I chose to make a Vidalia Onion Casserole. It was beyond easy and fabulous! I have made it twice since as well. I also chose to bring a dessert and once I read Rum Cake I was in love. It is no secret that I am a rum girl, so this was going to be perfect, and Paula Deen knows her stuff! 1 C chopped walnuts. 1/2 C Vegetable Oil.
