Clear Right...: 2011
http://onurfs.blogspot.com/2011/01/2011.html
Saturday, January 15, 2011. Here's my first flight in 2011. I'm hoping to beat my 43-flight mark of last year. 50 is the objective for 2011. My laziness is phenomenal, by the way. It has been 10 days since I've done this flight. On with the trip. Easy 1475, the real world flight was from Geneva to Toulouse with 140 passengers and 15K lbs of fuel. Company ship taxing in. The weather at LSGG was awful to be honest with light rain and mildly gustling winds. My touchdown was spot on, nice and smooth. Dur...

Clear Right...: August 2009

Friday, August 7, 2009. Heading to the East Coast. This will probably be my last flight for the next 5 months or so. I will be doing my mandatory military service near LTAJ (Gaziantep) during this period and hopefully will be back in January. The winds were blowing from the East at Denver, 124/6 with 7 miles visibility and 16C. There were scattered clouds at 16000 feet. After a short taxi from the cargo stand I lined up on 35L, took off and continued on the Plain4 departure and joined the J146 airway.

Clear Right...: April 2010
http://onurfs.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 26, 2010. It wasn't my business trip, it was my father's. Working as a contractor for an Italian tyre company (you can surely guess the brand! My dad travels to Milan a few times per year. I thought I might do one of these flights for the blog. I didn't want to get stuck in the usual morning traffic at LTBA so I hurried up on the pre-flight and was lucky to take-off without waiting. There were a few other company flights coming and going. Traffic was much lighter than I had expected. Around...

Clear Right...: July 2009
http://onurfs.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 30, 2009. This will be my last flight for this month of July. It seems I have managed a flight every 3 days. I could have done better, actually, considering that I'm currently unemployed and have a rather "calm" social life. Still, considering the number of flights, July apparently has been a good month between our 2 blogs with Al. MRW UA727 NUBAR A727 LXR A145 ASRAB R650 NWB W733 METSA R652 QTR. Total block time for UPS 702 on this 1050NM route was 2 hours and 39 minutes. I flew along the...

Clear Right...: June 2010

Tuesday, June 15, 2010. I was a huge fan of the series when I was a kid. I loved the way Sonny and Ricardo chased crooks in their Ferrari Daytona. It was only when I grew up that I found out cops didn't drive around in Ferraris, even in Miami. The weather at Grantley Adams was beautiful, winds blowing mildly from the east with few clouds at 2000 and a balmy 31C. Perfect for a Gin tonic before dinner at the oceanside. 160 passengers on this evening trip to Miami. Left is clear, right is clear. I followed ...

Clear Right...: Girlfriend's Flight
http://onurfs.blogspot.com/2011/01/girlfriends-flight.html
Monday, January 24, 2011. Back again in the US, one of my favorite flying spots. Plenty of airports to choose from, large and small alike with tons of WOAI liveries to populate those airports. Not to mentions good freeware gems too. At the AA terminal. The weather was moderate winds from the northwest with few clouds at 3300. The temperature was a freezing -14C. The take-off was looking to be smooth. Terminal area to the right, note the Speed Bird Jumbo. My pre-flight took around 20 minutes, most of it w...

Sunday, February 21, 2010. Joining the Transatlantic Club. Although I've flown pretty much all around the world, I had never done a flight across the pond or any flight longer than 3 hours for that matter. I wanted to change that and cross the Atlantic, try the capabilities of my beloved PSS 757. Taxi checklist complete, where is that "Kilo"? The route of my 2775NM flight was:. PSM EBONY N95B CYMON DENDU 5150N 5240N 5330N 5520N RESNO BEL UL10 IOM MIRSI. Take-off weight was just below 238 000 lbs, way und...

Clear Right...: September 2010

Friday, September 10, 2010. Air Europa Leg Series 3. Alright, time for the return leg. Find leg 1 here. And leg 2 here. Departure time was 10.35 and taking into account my late arrival to Almeria I had only 20 minutes to get the aircraft set for the trip to Paris. 145 passengers boarded here, bringing the total number to 173 with the 28 previously boarded at Alicante. Anyway, putting aside the confusion with the numbers my take-off weight was a hair over 161K lbs. Easy 5164 pushing back. A reason I chose...
