Friday, February 12, 2016. Karen and I saw this tuffet* almost a year ago and had to make one. We just finished making ours in a class at Tennessee Quilts. In Jonesborough. We sewed togehter what felt like 900 strips of our fabric to make the cover and then added it to foam wrapped with batting and added legs. A tuffet is just a fancy word for a cute little footstool. In honor of the 1 year blogiversary I made a. Once the logo was printed and taped together, I put a piece of Graphite paper between the paper and the canvas. (The paper is torn to center the logo). I keep sewing things, then getting excited and wearing them right away and totally forgetting to take photos. One such piece is the Grainline Maritime Shorts. I conned a friend into taking some photos this weekend at a girls cottage weekend (she understands my plight, I took her photo for the international anna party, its the popsicle dress on my instagram.
