Saturday, January 31, 2009. The one with the doll factory molds. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world that these amazing beauties get to live in my shop for a little while until they find new homes. Direct from a doll factory in upstate New York, these copper molds are in untouched verdigris condition and still exactly how they were on the plates when they were pumped with latex for someone's new baby doll. There are only 2 racks, each with 9 heads. The dollhead is separate. Subscribe to: Post Comm...

DIY Slipcover Workshops: October 2010
http://diyslipcovers.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 31, 2010. This is a great chair for a slip! We used fabric from two club chair slips for this little chair and reversed it with the pattern side out. Even though the fabric had been washed several times it was still a little stiff. With a little pressing (after this photo of course) the skirt conformed to its newly formed pleats. DIY Slipcover Workshops: December 2011

Friday, December 2, 2011. I first met Angie several years ago at the Slipcover Summit. She hosted in Florida. It just so happened that she was not only my teacher, she was also my roommate. I have learned sew much from Angie and at times I must confess, I sit back and marvel at how much this gal knows about sewing. I often wonder, "how on earth did she ever think to even do that.". Now Angie's done it again with her Quick Pleaters. Check out Angie's video! I hope you will remember the Quick Pleaters.
