Seven Principles and the Orixa - Mahal Kitta
http://aeneas-atavus.livejournal.com/48843.html
Seven Principles and the Orixa. The Nguzo Saba - The Seven Principles of Kwanzaa. To strive for and maintain unity in the family, community, nation and race. This to me sounds like Yemaya since she is the orisha of rules, regulations, the Mother and family. She is also associated with community and nationhood. To define ourselves, name ourselves, create for ourselves and speak for ourselves. I think this reminds me of Eshu and how he creates different possibilities. I think that those are very good! Long time no see... - t'ai
http://taisidhe.livejournal.com/349975.html
Long time no see. Tai of the Sidhe. Long time no see. In case you weren't aware of it, I stopped using this LJ more than a year ago. I actually deleted it for most of a year but now have un-deleted it and made most of my 1300 entries private. I created another LJ which I use daily (or more than daily. I can post a LOT at times) and which follows my life. If you are interested in finding out what I have been up to, go to my. If you are getting this message, I would love to hear from you.

Stuff and mo stuff - Tellin all my business. Grab some poppin corn. 20 January 2006 @ 10:47 am. Stuff and mo stuff. Everyone in your life will bring you joy some when the enter and some when they leave. To all of my future fathers out there, this is just a little nugget of advice from me to you. Don't get into being a father or a husband expecting to reap great riches or fame and glory. This is the peace corp and it ain't for the weak of heart. You'll only find fame and glory at a strip club.

African Ethnicities Enslaved in Santo Domingo - afrolatino. African Ethnicities Enslaved in Santo Domingo. African Ethnicities Enslaved in Santo Domingo. Mar 8th, 2009 @ 09:28 am. People should never forget their origins, those who do lose the essence as a people or nation; destroying the very core of what defined them as a nation, country or ethnic group. It was very common that people brought from the African continent got baptized with the name of their masters but the surname would be respective to t...

Castro has us held hostage - afrolatino. Castro has us held hostage. Castro has us held hostage. Jun 30th, 2007 @ 09:02 am. The quote that struck me the most in this article:. I'd have to agree. My fear has always been that sooner or later America was going to end up back in Cuba. I have a fear that the White Cubans would return and racism would be even worse than it is now. I think somehow we need a new revolution. June 30th, 2007 10:03 pm (UTC). June 30th, 2007 11:07 pm (UTC). After reading all these c...

Black..but not?? - afrolatino
http://afrolatino.livejournal.com/41086.html
Nov 14th, 2007 @ 02:22 pm. Soy afro-peruano y blanco. Tengo la piel ligera y no me parezco como un chavo negro de NINGUNA MANERA. I mean, the only reason people know that I'm black is because I tell them. I have white features and latino features but no african. It makes me identify with being exclusively peruvian more so than being afro-peruvian just because people don't know that I'm black. Does anyone else feel this way?
