Proposed Highway Business Zone in Mount Tremper. The Shandaken Town Board is considering rezoning a section of Route 28 in Mount Tremper. The new Highway Business zone would also include over a half mile of stream frontage along the Esopus Creek. The Town Board held a special Town Board meeting on May 25th to discuss this proposed zoning amendment. At that meeting, the Town Board heard 45 email and oral comments against the rezoning and five comments in favor.
