June 24. 2009. We are in Kingston, ON at Rideau Acres Campground on our way to NFLD. Today it was very hot with temps reaching 34 degree C. We will be staying here for one more day and then we leave for Quebec City. Tomorrow we leave for New Brunswick. Currently at Riverside RV Campground, Edmunston NB. We will gather at 2:00 PM, with the ceremony beginning at 2:30 PM. The reception will commence immediately thereafter, with food, drink, and music. The address is 160 Vicente Road, Berkeley CA 94705. Ruminations on fasola music, my life as a novelist, good food, and other assorted stuff. Saturday, June 07, 2008. My Dad, and an Update. I thank everyone who sent good wishes regarding my dad. He died on May 29 at the age of 89. We all miss him terribly, but we're glad his suffering is over. In the meantime, I'm writing and preparing for my annual trip to the National Sacred Harp Convention in Birmingham. The convention couldn't come at a better time- I sorely need fellowship and singing to ease my grief.
