This is our home.in progress. Tuesday, May 26, 2009. I've previously mentioned our "moat." Basically, anytime it rained water collected everywhere. There are definite drainage issues ALL over the neighborhood - believe me we walked around and checked things out. There are plenty of drains and soggy yards all over the place. But it really didn't make us feel any better to discover just how bad things were at our house. Oooh - and the window wells? Different priorities I guess. But we're getting closer.

This is our home.in progress. Sunday, August 15, 2010. I'm back with an update on our metal railing progress. The front porch of our house has metal railings and metal interlocking squares. When we purchased the house, they were painted white. The railings had chipping paint in areas, while the squares had some rust. We wanted a cleaner, more sleek look, so wanted the scrolls removed. Cue the metal artist who knew just how to remove the scrolls. With everything painted, the light looks even worse. Oh...

This is our home.in progress. Friday, June 19, 2009. Two houses are for the confused and misinformed. Or that's what having two houses to manage has led me to believe. If you decide to take on the endeavor of living in one home while fixing another, remember to not expect to have luxuries such as clean clothes, timely mowed lawns and adequate levels of toilet paper.
