The Juliens: March 2013
http://drsjulien.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
This morning, Maya first released the ladybugs she'd been raising. Then we did some egg hunting, which is clearly a spectator sport as well (Cora was intrigued). At the end are some cute Easter dress photos. before those Easter dresses are soiled. While we were out for the bluebonnet photos, Tim also took some flower shots. Here are the annual bluebonnet photos! And a couple of Texas girls in the wind. Cora's teacher was having some fun today. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Devil's Den Trail Run.

The Juliens: December 2013
http://drsjulien.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
We've had a really fantastic year. It was arguably less exciting than the previous couple of years (with respect to new additions and major family adventures), but we still managed to pack in quite a bit of fun and traveling this year. I feel like I've said this for something like five years in a row, but nothing's really changed for Tim or me. We still have the same jobs, and they're still pretty much the same (which is, for the most part, a good thing). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Devil's Den Trail Run.

We then met John and Stephanie for dinner one last time before crashing at the hotel. On Wednesday we headed home (but not before taking a very pleasant and temperate walk along the waterfront). At home, we were confronted by 90 degrees at 9pm. On Monday, we got up early and had breakfast in the ferry building: Blue Bottle Coffee and biscuits from this cute cart called the Biscuit Bender (so yummy! San Francisco: Sunday (and Saturday). Race report: it was a success. Tim finished 88th overall, 84th am...

Saturday in the Park. We headed out to Bull Creek today to get some pictures of our fast growing kiddos. It was, needless to say, a beautiful day! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Luxembourg Day 3 (Brussels). On Wednesday, Tim went to Brussels by train. It was an about 3 hour train ride, but because he left early and returned just in time for dinner, he managed about six hours to explore Brussels. There were churches and squares, and, apparently, a delicious lunch. Tim is actually in this last photo, attempting to scramble through the brambles. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A church in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. I still like sailboats. Candelabra cactus in the lava fields. The view from the hike. The coastline of San Cristobal. The cove from the hike. View across the coast to Kicker Rock. Soaring frigate bird (they scissor that tail in and out to control their flight). Along the coast of San Cristobal. Finch (aren't they cute? Kicker rock (in the distance, on the left). San Cristobal Island, from the boat. Still San Cristobal Island, still on the boat. Mangrove on Puerto Gran...

As we bring 2014 to a close, the Juliens are well. We hope you and your family are too. Yeah, next year, we'll do better at taking an actual family photo.). Maya is a growing seven year old second grader. She is bright, energetic, and simply fun to be around. She amazes us every day with her patience and love for her little sister; their age difference (for now) seems to be a real positive. Maya is super active this year - girl scouts (we're Brownies now! In March (check out Maya's travel blog. Another f...

She holds out a scrap of paper as though to hand it to me. Paper," I say. She looks at me quizzically. Paper," I say again. Slowly she says. "Paaa . per.". Yes, paper, that's right.". Ten minutes later, she holds out a scrap of paper to her daddy. Paper," I say. Paper," he says. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Facing the New World Financial Order. Devil's Den Trail Run. Rifugia Maranza, Due. Tim was offended that I trimmed the number of his photos to 31. He claims that "the masses clamor for more." Here are the other 69. Well there are some good ones.
